Incredible India Monthly Contest of April #2| Natural resources and its impact on human life!
Greetings amazing people of the Incredible India community. I write to participate in an amazing contest by @meraindia about natural resources. Let's get enlightened.
What do you understand about natural resources? Explain!

I define natural resources as materials that occur in nature(not man-made) and are used by man to better their survival. Natural resources include;
- Agricultural land
- Water
- Air
- Plants
- Animals (aquatic, arboreal, and terrestrial)
- Minerals
- Fossil fuels(oil, natural gas)
- Sunlight, et cetera.
Why natural resources are significant in human lives. Explain.

Every natural resource mentioned above has a very crucial role to play in man's existence and survival. I'll go one after the other.
Agricultural land is used to plant crops. Animals are also reared upon it.
Water is important for water cycling of nature, drinking, washing, industrial use, digestion. Life can't take place without water.
Air consists of oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and rare gases. Oxygen and carbon dioxide are required for inhalation and exhalation respectively by plants and animals. Without oxygen and carbon dioxide, respiration would be impossible and we would all suffocate. Nitrogen is a very important part of the atmospheric cycle. It causes leguminous plants to be more nutritious.
Plants are sources of clothing materials like cotton and acetate. Some plants are sources of food for man. Wooden plants provide source of wood for fuel or furniture.
Animals can serve as meat. Their skin can be used to produce woolen or leather clothing. Milk, meat, eggs, et cetera can be gotten from them.

Minerals include limestone, cobalt, manganese, gold , copper and various other solid valuables that can be dug up from the soil. Limestone is used in cement making without which we won't have concrete houses. Graphite is used in making pencil crucibles. Diamond is used in jewelry making. Gravel is used in building construction and so on.
Fossil fuels are minerals that occur as a result of underground heating for millions of years and contain hydrocarbons. All fossil fuels are used for power generation or transportation. Can you imagine what life would have been like if petroleum (oil) wasn't in the picture? You would literally always have to trek to everywhere, even if you wanted to travel out of the country because kerosene (which fuels planes) and petrol (which fuels cars) won't be available.
Sunlight is the source of solar energy. It is a renewable natural resource meaning that we never run out of it. It is responsible for photosynthesis.
According to you, which elements are essential that come from natural resource? How can we keep the balance of these natural resources? Discuss!

In my opinion air and water are the most essential natural resources.
I think that natural resources can be conserved if indiscriminate usage and wastage is avoided. I feel like if resources are recycled, we'll never have to run out of them. Some general conservatory tips include;
- Usage of fan instead of air conditioners will do more good.
2.Avoid wasting water - Endangered species should be protected against poaching so they do not go extinct
- Deforestation should be banned
- Excessive mining can deplete mineral resources.
Thanks for reading through. I invite @alysaa, @okokon and @destinedhanik to participate in this amazing contest.
You said water and air is the most important aspect of natural resources what about food..I can't stay a day without eating 😂
I'm srry not to have included 😄
You know being specific is necessary
Since I didn't list it, i didn't explain
Wow what an excellent post, you have thoroughly explained the significance of natural resources in human lives, highlighting their crucial roles. Your suggestions for conservation, like reducing waste and recycling, are spot on. Well-researched and informative, great job participating in the contest i wish you all the best.
Thank you so much Sir for going through my post.
You are welcome
