Incredible India monthly contest of July|Balance and Judgement!
Introduction |

It's true, no man is an island, we always would need people. However most times even with how much we need people, we find ourselves hating people or wanting to have nothing to do with them. One of these problems is Judgement and Balance. Thank you @meraindia For this contest. Here are my opinions on judgement and balance.
Do you believe judgment needs the help of balance? Share your views. |

Before I would answer this question, a look at the concept of judgement and balance is needed. Judgement has to do with one's ability to make a right decision or give reasonable opinion. It is what we use to decide if something is right, or best in a particular situation.
Balance on the other hand has to do with staying fair and just and not leaning to just one side or opinion. A balanced person would always consider both sides or opinions before making a decision.
So my answer to the question above is Yes, even a sound judgement requires balance. Balance would help ensure that influences such as emotions, biases or extremes doesn't affect our judgement.
Consider this scenario
a mother sees a fight between two of her children. She sees one child is injured and crying and the other is not harmed. Also she sees the injured child is very feeble and young compared to the uninjured one at such she chooses to rebuke harshly the uninjured child for being a bully.
While she might have judged right? Don't you think her judgement is flawed, because she did not care to listen to both sides. She was moved by the feeble boys state and felt the uninjured one was wrong for beating the feeble one. Meanwhile, what if it was the feeble one who initiated the fight and the uninjured one only sought to defend himself?
How much does a balance help us to make correct judgments? Describe! |

Like in the scenario above; balance would have helped improve how accurate and fair the judgement would have been . Balance too opens our minds to different perspectives, it helps us understand why people act the way they do and how best to deal with such situation. Balance is a teacher of patience which is an essential virtue. Balance also prevents faulty judgements which instead of solving the issue would lead to further grievance especially on the person who feels cheated in the judgement.
Do you believe balance and judgement are the two sides of the same coin? Justify! |

Yes balance and judgement can be seen as two sides of the same coin. Judgement is that ability to make decisions while balance is a quality which ensures that decision made is fair and appropriate. One cannot do without the other as judgement without balance is a flawed or biased judgement and balance without judgement is simply indecision. Together they promote wise and precise devisions which is very important in human relationship.

In conclusion, Judgement helps us to decide and balance is how we decide wisely. Seeing one side of a situation makes our judgement weak but staying balanced helps us to make better judgement. Hence, we should listen to others, weigh all sides before we make our judgement. This two things work hand in hand to help us choose well. @bee5, @emmalex and @nsijoro what do you think about this? I would love to here from you.
