My honest Take on Basic Education

Let me be real with you, when I hear"basic education," I don't just think about school. I think about the things we were supposed to learn early in life, but many if us didn't.

Basic education,to me ,is supposed to be the beginning of everything, not just maths or English, but how to actually live.
Yeah, school teaches you how to spell "international"and solve for X and Y, but does it really teach you how to deal with failure? How to manage your emotions? How to speak up? How to know who you really are?

I feel like basic education should have taught us real things, how to build confidence, how to handle money, how to communicate properly, how to manage stress, or even how to identify and avoid toxic people. That's education too.

I'm not saying school is useless. No. But for a lot of us, we passed through school and still didn't feel " ready" for life. We memorized things, wrote exams, but still got confused about simple life decisions. That says a lot.

So yes,I believe basic education plays a big role in who we become, but only if it's done the right way. it should build you, not just grade you.

We need to start seeing basic education as more than just schoolwork. It should be about helping people become better versions of themselves, mentally, emotionally, and socially.

Because what's the point of knowing all the subjects in the world and not knowing how to cope with real life?

We need basic education that teaches us how to live, not just how to pass exams.
Skills like managing stress when things get tough, speaking up when something isn't right,or even knowing when to say no, these are just important as any math formula.

I remember times when I felt lost after school because no one really taught me how to handle disappointment or how make decisions that affect my future. I had to learn those lessons on my own, sometimes the hard way.

If basic education included lessons on mental health, financial sense, communication, and self awareness, imagine how many young people would grow up feeling more confident and prepared. Imagine how much easier it would be to face the world.

We also need to teach kids about respect, respect for themselves and for others and how to build healthy relationships.
Because life isn't just about being smart, it's about being kind, strong, and emotional intelligent.

So,my honest take is this: basic education should prepare us for LIFE not just for tests. It should help us understand ourselves and the world around us, so we can make better choices and live happier lives.

What do you understand by basic education?♥️

📍Basic education is the foundation of learning that goes beyond just reading, writing and arithmetic. It's the early stage where we not only learn school subjects but also important life skills. It's supposed to prepare us mentally, emotionally and socially for the challenges of adulthood.
It's where we start to understand ourselves, how to communicate, how to manage our feelings, and how to interact with others.

According to you, what things should have been included in basic education? Explain!♥️

📍Personally,I believe basic education should include real life skills like managing money, handling stress, building confidence, and effective communication. It should teach emotional intelligence, how to handle failure, how to set boundaries, and how to deal with toxic people. Also, lessons on mental health, respect, and healthy relationships should be part of it. These skills are essential because they help us become balanced individuals, not just academically smart.

Do you believe basic education plays a vital role in our growth? Explain how?♥️

📍Yes, basic education is very important for our growth, but only if it's done right. When it covers both academics and life skills, it shapes who we become emotionally, mentally and socially. It builds our character and prepares us to face life's ups and downs. Without a strong foundation, even the smartest person can struggle with simple life decisions. So, basic education plays a vital role in making us we'll rounded and confident adults.

Challenges we face:

Many schools focus too much on results and not enough on the emotional wellbeing of students. Kids feel pressure to perform, but don't get enough support for their mental health.

Also, most schools teach theory but miss out on practical skills. How many students really know how to handle money, solve conflicts or care for their mental health?
Not many.
