Incredible India monthly contest of July | Balance and Judgement!
My response to the @MeraIndia community Contest - Incredible India monthly contest of July | Balance and Judgement!
It is very easy to react instantly on any matters. Let's take the classic example of the Coldplay concert couple situation that happened a few days ago, where the CEO of one of the top companies was caught on camera with his office collègue in a awkward moment. And the whole world pounced on them, making all sorts of judgements. People across the world were so quick to create memes of this and spread it trying to shame the couple caught on camera. Everyone around is judging them, based on that one scene, without knowing any background or understanding their personal lives. None of these people know them personally but yet they can pass judgements on them.
Such is the human nature, we are too instant on passing judgements and forming opinions concerning to others. Instant reaction is natural and part of being human, but important is expression of the reaction. Is that in control or not is the big question. And the expression of that reaction depends on how balanced our mind is or you can also say if you have the ability of rational thinking.
If we are not quick enough to respond on every matter, it means that our brain is processing complete information in a non-judgmental manner first and trying to find the rational in it and only then it is responding.
Do I believe judgment needs the help of balance?
Absolutely, I believe that judgement needs balance and good level of thought process. When we pass judgements on others it is possible that we have not processed complete information and found out facts about the situation. In that case, our judgement can be wrong. Also judgements when we pass on others are based on our own thought processes and experiences. Each one's judgement is different on a similar situation and that depends on individual experiences. Passing judgement without 100% knowledge of the situation and person can turn out to be biased and not the right judgement.
How much does a balance help us to make correct judgments?
When we slow down, process all the information and find all facts and after that make a judgement in a balanced way, it is a more accurate judgement and not a biased one. Still it may not always mean that it's 100% right judgement, because it is from your perspective which may be right and may be not. A judgement made can never be 100% accurate because it is always from an individual's perspective of what is right or wrong for them. What may be right for one person, can be wrong for another. So even after finding out all facts it may not be the right one.
Do you believe balance and judgement are the two sides of the same coin?
I do not think they are. Firstly I think that if one has a balanced state of mind they will avoid passing judgements in the first place, because these people do understand that opinion and judgements are just perspectives which may not be factual. Those who are balance will avoid getting into these situations in the first place. Where as people who are quick on forming judgements are impulsive ones, they can be irrational in most of the matters of life and act with a lot of emotions involved. Whereas the balanced person will know how to keep emotions under control.
I will like to invite @cryptopie, @jyoti-thelight and @heriadi to participate in the contest.

I feel in wider perceptive while people sitting in top position take decisions on wider interest rather than doing it for their own selves.
