The August contest #1 by sduttaskitchen|Significance of Equality for a healthy society!
My response to the @meraIndia Conetst - The August contest #1 by sduttaskitchen|Significance of Equality for a healthy society! hosted by @sduttaskitchen.
For centuries this problem has existed, that the LGBTQ community has to live with shame and hiding. But I guess the 21st century is changing these scenes, the community has been started getting accepted like never before, and for those who still have resentments are from the older generations. The new generation is very open to accepting them, and find them very normal just like any other person. The appearance of the people of these communities have been coming up in open in large numbers, they are not feeling so threatened by their identity like they used to some decades ago.
Yes, but still the problems does persist, there has not been total acceptance of them in the society as yet. Many countries now have Male, Female and Others in Gender classification in lot of their documents, which is a progress and at the same time, there are many places where they still live in hiding with their identity, which the ratio is much more.
I personally believe that the whole classification in the first place is very wrong, why do we want to have any such discriminations, they are also normal humans with a different biology that's it. So they should be accepted just like any other normal male and female, without making it a scene about this whole gender thing. History speaks that the LGBTQ community has forever been there in the society, the only difference was that they were always looked down because of their certain preferences, and this behavior, attitude and thought process has been passed down from one generation to another that they are different and they cannot be part of the normal society.
They should be allowed to work in any job and position with equal respect and dignity if they qualify for it. They should be allowed to get a normal education like any other student. With the way their acceptance is growing I believe that in the next 100 years they will become a part of the normal society.
Women equality and right - At large again I feel that the situation is changing here, but the problems still persist, especially in some of the countries which still holds traditional orthodox beliefs. The new generation is very progressive, man and woman both, and the importance of both genders is coming in to perspective. The women are also stepping up and making it sure that their importance is felt then be it at job or home.
Women have started getting into jobs where once they were only dominated by man, like being a pilot, or a CEO of a company or even in jobs like driving a cab or an auto rickshaw. In my city I see quite a few female cab drivers. The last time I visited India, at the airport I was assigned a cab with a female driver, and there were many of them. I have never seen this before. She helped me pick up the bag and did everything that a normal male cab driver would do. I have even seen them in buses as bus conductors. There have been female train drivers as well. The numbers are small but with time they will grow, this is just the beginning.
At the same time, how a woman is treated at her home still raises a question, it makes me wonder some times that by just involving them in different jobs, is it a way to superficially make them feel empowered. Well, here also I see that change is happening and it's just not a cover up, but as I say it's a long way to go to see visible change in the society.
With all of these changes the situations of rapes and molestations still continue, which is a matter of concern for the society. I will not blame the entire male community for this because at large the man do not behave like rapist and molesters. The whole problem lies in the upbringing of the child. If from a young age they are taught to respect women and the same is seen in their home, they will shape up respectfully.
Both these change have a long way to go, but the thing is that the first steps are taken, awareness is being made more and more, change is happening even if it is a slow one. It will take 2 to 3 generations to see a good difference. What's been happening since centuries cannot be suddenly changed in one generation. Constant messaging, education and raising awareness is the key to bringing this change.
I invite @mauromar, @jyoti-thelight and @petrarodriguez to participate in the contest

You are right. Even though the government and the laws give importance to gender equality for women, they still do not get gender equality in the society. Violence against them still continues. It cannot be corrected through laws. Proper education is the only way to correct them.

Absolutely, it is parents responsibility to teach their children on how to respect woman, and not only teach them in words but also demonstrate it in their day to day life at home.
