Betterlife With Steem. [THE Diary Game (05-08-2025).] A day off on the occasion of the July Uprising Day. .
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barokatuhu.
Most of the time my vacation starts late. You can say that I have a vacation during the week. This is a holiday officially celebrated on the occasion of the new birth of Bangladesh. Last year, on August 5, the autocratic government fell in the midst of the student movement. The people of the country got a new Bangladesh back. On this day in 2025, one year has passed. As a result, this day is being celebrated through various types of joyous rallies and programs in addition to observing government holidays. As a result, our offices are also closed today. Which I shared with you in yesterday's post. It was quite late to wake up. I woke up around 10 am, brushed my teeth as usual, washed my hands and face and went to have breakfast. When I was about to start eating, I saw a bowl of rice mixed with water. Which is called Panta Bhat. I used to eat this rice a lot when I was young. You can also call it my favorite. Nowadays, only on Pahela Baishakh do people really eat Panta Bhat as a hobby, but there was a time when I lived at home, I used to eat Panta Bhat almost every day. I did not eat Panta Bhat for many days. Seeing this, I could not control my greed.
I sat down with a green chili and onion peel to eat Panta Bhat. There are many benefits of eating Panta Bhat. It keeps the stomach cool during summer. Only those who have eaten it will understand how much fun it is to eat it with a little salt and green chili and onion.
I tried a little meat in the middle of the meal and tried it with plain rice. It was quite good. After eating, I went to the room. After some time, my wife came to the next room and gave me a cup of tea. This is the habit of people in Nilphamari district to drink tea after eating. When I went to visit Nilphamari, I saw that they used to drink tea after eating something. Which seemed different to me.
This time I sat down to study. What can I say, the exam is on the 10th, there are only 4 days left, I have no tension. I am not sure what I am doing or not. I don't know what will happen this time either, I am just waiting on fate. If I get it, Alhamdulillah, if I don't get it, Alhamdulillah. I have full faith in fate. I have to study with the lights on in the room even during the day. There is no possibility of light coming from outside. What else can I do, this is life in Dhaka.
I study until 12:30. Then I go to take a bath. Now I go to the mosque to offer Zuhr prayers. After finishing the prayers, I finish my lunch. If I was in the office, I would finish my lunch and sit on the computer for a while and watch the news. But that doesn't happen at home. Although it was a little late for lunch today. I ate around 2:30. Today's lunch menu included rice and fish soup.
After finishing my lunch, I sat down to read for a while. Suddenly feeling very sleepy, I put the book next to me and lay down on the bed. When I woke up, I saw that it was almost evening. When had I slept so much? I woke up, washed my hands and face, and when it was time for Maghrib prayers, I went out to pray. After praying, I came back to my room and sat down to study. At that moment, I saw my elder brother's daughter bring a kadam flower from somewhere. After a long time, I saw a kadam flower. I took it in my hand and shook it for a while. Then I put it on the table.
After studying until Isha, I went to the mosque for Isha prayers. After praying, I came home, got ready, and went to private tutoring. After tutoring, I came back to my room at 10 o'clock and finished eating and drinking. Then I did some of my own work. This is how the holiday was spent at home. Honestly, life in the city is like this, even if I wanted to, there was no way. If I were in the village, I could have spent my time wandering around outside. But everything else is a victim of circumstances.
My post today ends here. May everyone be well and healthy. I will see you again with a new post of mine.
