Nightmare
Carrine with a virtual form alone in a place that is not known by its name. She felt a little scared when thick fog surrounded her. Then Carrine saw a dying woman. When she approached her, Carrine realized that the woman was her own mother named Caroline Franz Hopper who is often known as Caroline Hopper.
"Mom ..." said Carrine who tried to touch her. And suddenly her mother disappeared accompanied by a gust of fog. Carrine was silent. She regretted not being able to touch or even hug her mother who she had not seen for a long time because her mother was kidnapped. Then Carrine heard a piano music. When she searched while looking right and left, she finally met a man playing the piano.
Carrine approached the man. How surprised she was when the man was her own father named Mike Schaeffer who was known as Mack Hopper. Finally Carrine ran to her father because she was afraid of losing her father like she had just lost her mother. When she and her father were very close, Carrine tried to touch her father. How surprised Carrine was when she realized that her fingers had touched her father. Carrine immediately hugged her father. She was also able to hug her father. tears began to fall from her eyes. “Dad, I miss you…” Carrine said sobbing.
Her father was silent and continued to play the piano as if Carrine was not near him. Carrine was also silent and continued to hug her father as hard as she could. Suddenly her father disappeared like threads flying in the darkness. Carrine began to be afraid when she was in a pitch black place. In the darkness there was a small light. Carrine tried to approach the small light. Then she felt as if she had entered the light. In it she met Willson, her friend who Carrine might consider her boyfriend like when she met him for the first time between the virtual and real worlds.
Carrine was silent. Actually she wanted to approach him, but with the incident with her mother and father earlier, she didn't want Willson to disappear too. Willson approached Carrine who was silent like a statue. And suddenly Willson was surrounded by foreign objects and disappeared. Carrine woke up from her sleep and screamed "AAAAAaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!". Carrine held her head which was hurting because of the nightmare. Then she glanced at the clock "04.00" which was shown by the clock to Carrine.
Sweat poured down her face and body. Carrine calmed herself down then heard the sound of “knock, knock, knock.” from behind the door. “Huh, who is that?” said Carrine who seemed to be trying to go back to sleep. “It’s me, Willson.” “Oh, come in Willson…” said Carrine. “Why are you screaming Carrine?” “I saw my mother dying, then my mother disappeared. I also met my father and the same thing happened to my mother. I also met you I didn’t approach you but you approached me, then you were surrounded by foreign objects and disappeared.” said Carrine with cold sweat pouring down her face.
“Calm down. Don’t think about it. It was just a nightmare. Nothing serious.” said Willson stroking Carrine’s short hair. “But that dream seemed to have happened to me before. It scared me.” Tears began to stream down her cheeks. She hugged Willson. “calm down. maybe you had that nightmare because you were stressed. i know how to relieve your stress. i want to tell you something…” said Willson reaching for Carrine’s hand which felt cold like ice that had just been brought in from the south pole. “what is it?” asked Carrine curiously. “i like you” said Willson. “i like you too” said Carrine. smiles began to appear on both of them when they looked at each other directly. they hugged. a few drops of tears fell from Carrine’s face. but those tears were not tears of sadness and fear but tears of happiness. they slept together while hugging each other. even though it was only for a few minutes, but those were minutes of happiness.
