It definitely can! Just slowly increase the time between the meal and the drink, until you find you're consuming it hours after you eat (this could take weeks, but that's ok!), then just start cutting them out slowly.

Pour them into a glass, and just start making the glass smaller and smaller, then go from X glasses to X glasses minus half, then one, before you know it, you'll be on one a day, then one every couple of days, one a week, to once every now and again :-)
