A Difference of Opinion? Or True Evil?
I have seen too many videos where something happens to a "Trump supporter" and people (assuming democrat and/or Woke) say that they deserve it. And one was just wearing a plain red cap. How can a group of people be this insensitive that they would say that another, that they do not know, deserved death because of political affiliation?
I remember back to a time when a conservative and a liberal gentleman would have long discussion about their viewpoints. Even having each other over for dinner and discussion.
Today, there are two groups that are so disparately divided that i can hardly believe it.
Is this how Germany started on its way to concentration camps?
Can we recover? Can we choose a different path? Can we learn to work with each other? Can we learn to let those over there have their ways, while we, over here, have our ways?
Can we learn to negotiate with others of very different viewpoints? Negotiate to a win-win solution?
Or, is there a point where "they" are evil, and so cannot be reasoned with nor negotiated with?
Us vs Them
There are so many things to be opposed over. The Dallas Cowboys vs the Pittsburgh Steelers? Ketchup vs Mayonnaise? Rock & roll vs Country & western? From these trivial things much arguments have started.
Driving on the right side of the road vs driving on the left? Eating with chopsticks or eating with a fork?
Muslim vs Christian. Catholic vs Protestant. Baptist vs Presbyterian. Which are mostly on the same page, with a single God and a do good to others attitude.
So many things that we can be split over, and each person has the God-given free will to decide for themselves. Can we learn to let others have their opinions? Or will we take it to the extreme of concentration camps?
Just a different religion, or evil?
But what about Satanism vs Christianity?
Is child sacrifice a line that we should not cross AND that we should not let others cross?
The answer from most people is yes, child sacrifice is WRONG and evil, and should be stopped.
Except, we allow abortion…
The answer to this conundrum will come in the future, when we have the technology to accurately tell if something is good or evil. And, at that point, evil will be defined as things that lead to destruction. Self and the society.
Like, we have correctly denoted that "drug use" destroys society, but we failed at any kind of remedy for it. Further, each person has control over themselves, and can decide to destroy themselves, but do we let them do so when it has destructive effects on society, on the people around them?
There are better ways to heal the trauma that causes people to want to numb out with drugs, and we will learn these, and also learn to not cause those traumas in the first place.
But, what do we do with people who want to worship Satan, and wants to see the world burn, so much that they set things on fire? Unfortunately, there is no way to stop people from deciding to follow Satan, but when they start acting out on that, we need to put a stop to it.
We will learn better ways to handle these kinds of things in the future. (like do not allow pyshopaths to hold positions of power) That said, for right now, we need to recognize damaging things as being bad and not tolerate it.
How to handle the mentally ill?
What if there is an individual who believes that you are out to kill them, by giving them a virus that will surely cause death? Well, with these people, we try to keep them out of the public eye.
What if a group of people believes that there is a dangerous virus out there, and everyone needs to be injected with an experimental gene-therapy or they will all die? This gets really hard. People weren't shot, because no one thought this kind of thing would be forced on people.
What if a group of people believe that the opposing political party is going to force them into concentration camps, and that they are evil because they do not believe like they do? If this group is correct, that the other is going to lock them up, then they have a right to defend themselves. But, what if they are all delusional, and the other group just wants to be left alone?
Again, we must wait until a side actually starts to do physical harm. And, we must recognize the harm early, and stop it.
We are about to have a crash course in real world ethics.
Those woke, who think it is appropriate to punch nazis, and cannot be reasoned with to not attack others, will find themselves punched back (if they are lucky). The other side may get to a point where they will just not deal with them (this will lead to starvation in America). Or, if this nazi punching group becomes a real threat, they may be constrained to their cities, or this argument goes kinetic, and then lots of people die.
A big problem of all of this, is the divide is being fostered by media programming. There is a group out there, the mother WEFers who are practising divide and conquer strategies. And this is very dangerous to our civilization.
We need to recognize this type of propaganda and stop it at its source. There is a big difference between an individual having a difference of opinion, and a group propagandized into believing that another group is out to get them.
Our biggest issue is we need to learn to recognize whether something is a difference of opinion or is truly evil.
And we may have to fight our way out of this mess we have been put into.
