There Will Soon Be No Reason To Live In Cities
Cities were where people moved to to find opportunity.
Where there was more people, there was more chance of you finding someone to pay you for your skills or your wares. Entrepreneurs set up factories where there was more people, so they would have enough people to hire from. And so, the supporting infrastructure was also there.
However, all of this is going away, or becoming moot.
Like Amazonium has changed the way we shop. No longer going to the mall, we order the stuff from our home. Many, many pieces are coming out, and they change every reason for why we would need to stay in cities.
On the negative side, cities will continue to spiral down into cesspools of crime and drug use.
The people that will be left in cities will be those who cannot afford to leave, and those who didn't leave when they had a chance.

The reasons cities are no longer necessary
It used to be that you needed to be around/near other people to make deals, get things done, have enough customers to make it worth having a store. Now, all of that has moved online. And not just a little online, a LOT online. Such as, we order stuff from China, that is then made, and shipped overseas to your home. That couldn't happen in person.
If you want to start a store today, you are doing it online. If you want to contact suppliers for parts to make your products for your store, you are doing it online. The only part that still remains is the physical store a person walks into to see the product and purchase it. And so much of that is online today.
If you like the entertainment you got in a city, it is all going away. Movie theaters are too expensive and not worth it. Just stream your favorite movies. Restaurants are great, if they can stay open with food prices skyrocketing; meaning many people are just staying home and cooking to save money.
We have seen malls closing down. We have seen restaurants closing their doors. We have seen store chains go out of business.
So much of jobs are becoming work from home. The commercial realestate is just too expensive. Corporations are laying off thousands of people.
Soon, there will be no real reason to be in a city.

The reasons that allow living in the country
Soon we will have electric production anywhere. Like going off grid, but with a miniature power plant.
We will also have internet everywhere on earth. Like Musk's Starlink, but better.
Shipping will become automated. Probably some kind of light-rail, or a monorail with self directing, self powered cars that deliver your good to you, no matter where you are. (or at least close enough, you can walk to get it)
We will have flying cars, which means roads are no longer important or constraining.
We will have local manufacturing capabilities. Small communities that are very self sufficient. In fact, most small communities will have a product that they make so they have something to trade with other small communities. No need for a corporate job.
With online chat groups and video communication, there really will not be much reason to live in a city.

The future of cities
The dystopias that will be future city living.
We have seen the future dystopias where you have the walled corporate city (that looks nice) separated from the slum that exists outside those walls. Well, that is sorta what is coming. There will be 15 minute, open air prisons, for the good corporate drones. And there will be run down areas with people clinging to life (if T.H.E.Y. don't actively exterminate them)
Look at Chicago and Detroit for cities that are just shells of their former selves. I am surprised that stores still exist in San Francisco. Soon, there will be concrete block buildings with a kiosk to order from, and everything else will be gone.
And this isn't just these few cities, it is all the cities. They are just at different levels of decline. And the biggest things will be that the smart and productive people will move out/away, leaving only the poor, destitute, broken, drug addicted and mentally ill in the city. Everyone that could get out, got out.
If the civil war actually breaks out between the Woke and the conservatives, then the cities will be even worse off. Or if the Woke announce they are forming their own countries, the rest of the country may just say, good riddance, and leave them to rot in their cities. (rot as the infrastructure fails, and shipments of food are hampered/blocked/driven away…)
Maybe someone will turn the cities back to nature, but if not, it will happen on its own.

I would like to say that this is still decades off, but we are already reaching tipping points on so many things.
The Woke, instead of just CHAZ, could take over all of Seattle. And the neo-liberal govern-cement goes along with it, declaring secession from the rest of America. We are already seeing things heat up over the killing/psyop of Charlie Kirk. So, maybe we see active warfare by next week?
The very best reason to get out of the city is to get to a place where you can grow your own food. This will become more and more important.
- So you can avoid the poisons that are being put into food.
- That you can avoid the disruptions in food deliveries.
- You can continue to afford to eat something besides bugz.
I really do not know how long we have. If we were talking San Fransisco, i would not automatically throw out someone who predicted next week. But, Chicago and Detroit have been dying for years and years now, and they are still there.
Keep your eyes out for those who you would like to live in a small community with. Find your tribe. Move your tribe out into the country.
