As an aspiring vegan that protest has my solidarity. My daughter and Son-In-Common-Law bought soya hamburger look alike to make a shepherd's pie in my honor. So far so good.

Unbeknown to me they made a second one with real hamburger. One late night the munchies kicked in and found the shepherd pie in the fridge and heated it up. The first bite had me marvelling how much like hamburger it tasted. By the second bite it seemed deserving to have another look in the fridge; at which point the second pie was discovered.

Why people make products that mimic meat for non-meat eaters is beyond my understanding with so many lovely vegetables out there. The practise should be outlawed!

Now where is my vest?!? 😎
