sir smithlabs! test equipment for what, to test what with?

I have to drive, and load, several power supplies; to ensure they are functional. Pretesting these power supplies, allows you to be sure of them before they are installed, or to test the power supply from a D.U.T.(Device Under Test) for proper function.

sir smithlabs I have no idea what you're talking about.

I am making a box that will stress the power supplies to be sure they are good, before they are soldered into place!

sir smithlabs! oh ok, well that makes total, logical sense. Glad someone thought of that, who told you about it?

I am designing it from scratch. It is my idea from the start.

I will have meters on it to monitor voltage and load current. It will need to close on the high voltage to protect the technician, when the test is active.

It should be a WILD ride!

Sir smithlabs! Is this something that can be patented or is that too much of a hassle?

Not worth it, only one will be built. But that one will be badly needed!
