In the year 1953 the Radika dam was built and an artificial stelago was created, which remains submerged under its waters the church of San Nicolás, it should be noted that it was only in operation 153 years since its construction.

In times of dryness when the level of water in the lake is lowered, the old building with the sunken roof and covered with vegetation is stuck in the mud of the shore, but with its bell tower erected, defying the passage of time.
