InkTober Day Three: Crown along with my adventures on Hive-Engine

The prompt for #inktober day three is "crown." Since #Pepe is the king of the alt-coins, I decided to generate an image of Pepe sitting on a thrown wearing a crown.

People who closely follow my wallet might notice that I increased my STEEM POWER to 1750. Steemblockexplorer shows that my upvote is now worth $0.0064. I hope to raise that amount to $0.02 so that I will be able to sweep the dust on steem posts.

Path Through Hive-Engine

I live in the USA. At the end of the quarter, I transferred a few hundred dollars into Coinbase.

Since I have a hive-engine account, I decided to buy some LTC and transfer it to HIVE-Engine.

I thought it would be a simple matter of swapping LTC for STEEM. The LTC:STEEM paired had only $72 USD; so I decided to add 200 STEEM liquidity to the pool. Even with the increase liquidity, the pool cannot handle a large transaction: This image shows an attempt to swap 1 LTC:

I would have received only 308 STEEM for one LTC if I pressed the button.

I thought about trying to trade through the SWAP.STEEM:SWAP.HIVE pool. Sadly, there is a huge margin BUY and ASK and there are bots that jealously guard the bids.

It is extremely difficult to execute large trades on hive-engine. The next image shows the daily volume. As hive-engine is a hostile exchange, it is difficult to trade more than 10 STEEM at a time. since the volume is low, one either has to take a significant haircut on the transaction or wait several days for the trade to go through. You can see a spike in volume when I traded some coins at a loss.
