Modern genetics show that Egyptians now share genetic ancestry with Sub Saharan Africa, than what the ancient Egyptians who show a closer genetic affinity with the Near East, and Levant.
It is believed that 1500 years ago n influx of people from Sub Sahara into Egypt took place, due to the increase mobility along the Nile.
However as all of the Western world with origins in Europe, it has now become an interesting subject with a Swiss Genetic Company claiming that 70 % of all British men, are genetically related to the Egyptian Pharoah Tutenkhamun of KIng Tut'.

Testing has shown that Tutankhamen belongs to the Rib1a2 , and hit was found that 50% of all men in Western Europe belong to the same Haplagroup.!
This indicates a common ancestor!
