Welcome to SteemIt, @thomasbarik.
I advice you to use the Steem in your wallet to buy some SteemPower.
As your SP is still 0, you won't be able to post or comment a lot. But if you take that Steem and exchange it for SP, you'll be able to post and engage in the community.

We can never have enough developers on the Steem blockchain, so I do hope you stick around!
