Hey guys! This is my first post on Steemit and indeed my first time using any kind of blockchain tech. My interest in D.Tube was what brought me here, which I think I first learned about from watching Tim Pool videos on YouTube. Within the past couple years I've paid attention to the culture war and what's happening in the world and it's prompted me to shy away from mainstream social media platforms more and find what else is out there.

That said, my life still revolves around what I've put in the title and the bulk of my posting will focus on that. I'm a lifelong musician with interests in everything from jazz and classical to metal and electronic music. My main instrument is keys and I play a Roland FA-08, but I'm reasonably versed in guitar (former main instrument), bass, drums, and more. The bulk of my musical time goes into my band Night's Edge, I've also programmed and composed some electronic with Ableton Live on my own.

I'm also an avid athlete, participating in a multitude of athletic endeavors. The bulk of my training comes from gymnastics calisthenics for building mobility and strength, but I dabble in everything from lifting, running, swimming, biking, rock climbing, acro yoga, circus arts, and more. I dance too but that's more fun to show than tell. 😁

Beyond that I make a point to try and learn as much as I can about the world, at least a very elementary introduction to something new all the time fueled by an avid reading habit. It's what brought me here ultimately, learning about the so-called "intellectual dark web" and the conversations those folks are having, and the path has broadened my mind and thinking beyond my expectations. It's a lesser part of my life at this point but I also used to be an avid gamer and I can't deny that in many ways good and bad it's shaped my life between appreciation for how a multi-faceted artform is constructed and made memorable, but also how even a virtue can become a vice with overindulgence. In short I love discussing about existential and philosophical topics about how to seek truth and grow as a people, as much as I love talking about how fantastic Cuphead is to experience and how that will influence future generations with the re-introduction of big band jazz ensembles and pre-censorship Disney-style animation.

Seriously this game is a treasure.

I think that's everything. Clearly I love writing and I'm an open book and love conversation. I'm looking forward to where blockchain in general and this blog specifically can go, since there's a lot of potential for these places beyond the politics.
