Welcome to Steemit.

Many people start their account with a post that has the tag #introduceyourself . The post might talk about yourself and your goals on Steemit.

BTW: it is considered bad form to upvote one's own posts. It is best to use upvotes for networking.

The value of an upvote comes from interest on the STEEM POWER in one's account. You have no steem power. so your upvote has little economic clout.

I have just under 5000 SP. My upvote is worth about 20 SP. Unfortunately, since the price of STEEM is low, my upvote is worth just under the $0.02 minimum payout.

It is really frustrating.

The steemworld program by @steemchiller has tools for analyzing the value of upvotes. For example, the minimum payment is 0.001 STEEM. you will find that you need about 80 SP before you start receiving rewards for upvotes.

Good luck on the platform.
