INVEST IN YOURSELF AND AVOID BECOMING STAGNANT
The average person spends between 3 - 5 hours a day watching TV and playing video games and also eats fast food 3 - 4 times a week. They feed the Ego’s need to be entertained, distracted and to immediately feel good in order to avoid the discomfort of personal growth that comes with facing themselves and the state of their lives. More often than not they complain about something, whether it is the state of their lives, their health, or how difficult it is to do this or do that.
If this is you, you are effectively keeping yourself in a state of suspended animation, which is the temporary cessation of most vital functions without death, as in a dormant seed or a hibernating animal. Yes, ignorance is bliss and many mediocre people avoid the challenges and obstacles faced by themselves and humanity in favour of ignorance, because there is immediate relief from the stress associated with facing the things that matter and making a positive difference.
How often do you do the things that are necessary for your personal growth and success?
How often do you go to conferences, seminars and workshops where you are able to invest in your own brain, meet likeminded people, expand your network and grow your passion/s? For most average people the answer is once or twice a year and this is why most people are broke and unhappy.
The fastest way to create what you desire in life is to go directly towards it and drop all the distractions, entertainments and immediate escapes from your reality. You’ve got to ask yourself if fast food, sleeping late, wasting hours in front of the TV or any other form of procrastination is contributing directly to what you want to reach personally in life?
Do you grasp or understand the infinite potential that exists within you? Or do you believe you have been given a half empty cup in life and therefore feel like the world owes or should give you the other half? If you are not grabbing your life by the nuts and making it happen by creating the future you desire, but rather complain about everything then you are entertaining the victim rather than the creator mentality. Life doesn’t happen to you, it happens for you, whether you focus on cultivating your own success or destruction, you will get out what you put in – Period.
Life happens progressively not regressively, in other words to live is to evolve, to embrace change, to move forward and make progress. The idea that one can be stagnant and thrive is a destructive illusion, for thriving in itself requires consistent progress and improvement to the highest degree.
Whatever you do, move out of your comfort zone, for comfort is only possible when there has been little to no progress in your journey for a period of time, which is directly associated to stagnation.
Progress and momentum go hand-in-hand, and in order to build success and thrive you have to build momentum meaning that you have to start and keep going.
Where attention goes energy flows and you are capable of achieving anything you intend to as long as you start and keep feeding it and growing until you reach your intended goal.
The only thing that is capable of holding you back in life is your own mind. Therefore investing in your mind and becoming a master of it is the single most important thing you can invest in.
