RE: ANNOUNCEMENT: The Nigerian Millionaire Prince is Dead – Long live the Nigerian Contest. LITTLE THINGS MEANS ALOT. I>PLAY.

That's awful, to be at such a place where you consider leaving your country. Sure, I'll help however I can but I'm pretty sure I can only marry one of you to get on a visa here hahaha.

Yes, when countries are in chaos, the bad guys find a way to profit from the mess.

Have youz come up with any good solutions? Ideas that will help the most people? If all the good guys leave, it just gives the bad guys more scope to play what's left over.

Good solutions?

Not even thinking of any yet

Maybe you should run a contest. Offer a prize of ... say ... 5SBDS. The title could be:

HOW TO FIX NIGERIA CHALLENGE!

Ok, so maybe people will think it's not much of a payout for fixing an entire nation, but think of the statues, streets and buildings named after them in their honour. Who knows? Maybe there'll be a good idea in there that people can start supporting.

Aye

You got me thinking there about helping my country (and that's a feat. I avoid the messiah status like a plague)

And definitely not 5 SBD. I think 50 for a start. Something like a collaborative contest where teams pitch their ideas and implement them. Say those whose plans get approved get about 5 SBD each and then 20 at the end if they win.

I can't start it now though. But I'll let my guys know. It's something I'll like to do

Thanks for the prompt Anj

Cool. Sounds like a plan :D

There are so many angles that need to be addressed though. You've got Islam and the schoolgirls... a huge shift in consciousness is needed to release these religious nutjobs from their warped thinking. Who knows how that's gonna happen. Then you've got the corruption; another toughy. I don't know how effective the 'charity' efforts are. From my position, they seem to plough in with a shit load of positivity, get people excited, then dump them when things don't move fast enough, leaving a disillusioned public behind, ever more desperate to get by. I dunno.

I hope it goes well.
cheers

I really need to stop before this becomes a rather long thread

But I think foreign support has a role to play. A negative one. Most charities over here live for the support. You see NGO organise short training programs with no follow up. All they need are the pictures to show their sponsors abroad.

About islam, I dunno. One is inclined to think Boko Haram has more to do with power seeking and clandestine political warfare than religion itself. Like Christianity, religion is just a tool to make people behave the way you want. As long as they regard you as God's mouthpiece, your word is law.

I hope it gets well soon too

yes, I'm having trouble finding the answers in the comments section haha

You're right about them getting the sponsors juiced up. It happens here too. I worked alongside charities in my old job and all they're interested in is the fat CEO wages, virtue signalling and making it appear like they're effective. On the whole, they're not. They make hardly any difference.

Yes religion and politics are bedfellows for sure. They both have the same agenda: power, money, control.

See you in a less crowded thread in the near future

Scratchn my head on this one ... LOL!
I would refer to DM otherwise you might try to go SAVAGE on me ... then I'd have to go SAVAGE and then we'd just be SAVAGn each other ... no bueno. :p

Lol... don't worry, I'm not marrying anyone for visas hahaha. Think I'm done with the whole marriage thing. I'm not very good at it.
