📣✨UNFORGETTABLE TRIP✨📣 | One-Day Trip
My wife does yoga. Well, I mean she starts, then quits, then starts again and quits again. But for this story, I think that's unnecessary information.
So, her yoga instructor decided to gather all interested parties for a trip to two beautiful places at once.
First to the "Gorge Monakhovo" - a gorge in the Zailiyskiy Alatau mountains, located in the Maralsay Gorge, within the territory of the Almaty Nature Reserve.
This is not far from the city of Almaty in Kazakhstan. My family and I live in Taldykorgan, and the distance to this reserve is a little over 270 kilometers.
And from there, we had to drive another 40 kilometers to the Kol'sai Lakes, and then return home.
Since it was decided to rent a minibus (it was for about 20 people), and there were a few empty seats, my wife suggested that I go with her. I agreed.
On June 30, 2024, we left Taldykorgan at 5 a.m. You might ask: "Why so early?" And I will answer you: To not return too late, since we planned to complete our journey in one day.
Before leaving home, I ate two apples, and it seems that played a nasty trick on me. When we were about 30-40 kilometers away from the city, my stomach began to twist unbearably. We didn't bring any diarrhea pills with us, as we were inexperienced travelers.
When I could bear the pain no longer, I approached the driver and asked to stop at the nearest rest stop. Luckily, it was about a five-minute drive. These five minutes felt like an eternity, but I barely made it. We stopped. Oh, miracle! I reached the restroom. The diarrhea was terrible...
Literally, 10 minutes after we resumed our journey, I started to feel unwell again. My stomach hurt... I think these sensations are familiar to you.
I realized we wouldn't go far like that. Besides, I felt embarrassed in front of the other passengers for constantly asking to pull over. I said to my wife, "Let me get off now, take care of my business, and then I'll go home by hitchhiking or taxi, take the medicine. There seems to be no other choice."
She agreed.
I asked the driver to stop. There was no restroom or any buildings nearby - just trees and fields. But I couldn't bear it until the next bathroom. The minibus stopped. I took my backpack and quickly headed to a place that wasn't visible from the road to fertilize the ground with my body's products. Don't judge me harshly - I just had no choice...
What would you have done in my place?
I went down into a small ravine hidden from everyone and spent some time there. When I was about to go back to the road to go home, the phone rang. It was my wife.
It turns out that when I got off the bus, the other passengers started asking her what happened. She told them about my problem, to which they replied that they had medication: "Bring your husband back into the bus, soon he will forget about his problem."
After listening to her, I decided to try to continue the journey. I was given medicine, and surprisingly, it quickly helped.
Why didn't we ask for medication from the passengers earlier? My wife had just recently joined this yoga section. Before that, she used to go to another one, so she didn't know anyone on the bus. Such things happen.
The rest of the bus journey to Gorge Monakhovo was a joy to me. I didn't even notice the time flying by, and we reached the gorge.
Now we had to climb along a small mountain river to the waterfall.
The road was easy and very picturesque. It took a little over an hour.
Having reached the waterfall, I decided to take a swim. The water was ice-cold.
After descending and getting back on the bus, we headed to the Kolsai Lakes. On the way, the sky clouded over, and a light rain began, so we decided not to stay at this location for long. We arrived at the lake, took photos, and headed back home.
In the bus, some of our new acquaintances had a few bottles of wine, and the road home flew by unnoticed. Around 10 p.m., we were home.
This trip was unforgettable for me.
The photos were taken with a Xiaomi Redmi 12 phone.
So much has happened in just one day! 😆
You totally broke the old saying, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." But you had two… 🤣
Looks like I had an apple overdose🤭
