Come vi ho gia' raccontato ho acquistato il biglietto aereo per Cuba da un paio di settimane, dopo Ferragosto ed il suo delirio mi occupero' di acquistare il passaggio in Viazul e il visto on line presso il consolato di Milano, l'amico taxista Villans che mi viene a prendere al mio monte e' gia' stato allertato sulle date.
Ovviamente fino a quando saro' in stagione partire non e' nei miei pensieri principali, c'e' anche il mese che faro' a casa, da meta' settembre alla partenza, mese di cui ho davvero bisogno.
Diciamo pero' che, paulatinamente, i giorni passano ed il volo si avvicina.

Sento gente a Tunas, continuano gli apagones, a volte piu' lunghi, altre volte piu' leggeri, al campo fuori citta' sono peggiori e piu' lunghi.
Di tutte le problematiche in cui, eventualmente, potrei imbattermi a Cuba questa e' davvero la sola che veramente mi da' fastidio, tenendo conto che si tratta di un fastidio a termine perche' poi ho un volo di ritorno, il cubano invece questo fastidio lo deve affrontare ogni giorno.

Ho sentito un caro amico che ha un pub alle porte dell'Avana, mi diceva che il lavoro e' molto calato e soprattutto sono quasi spariti i cubano americani che erano degli ottimi clienti.
Piu' che della crisi economica credo si preoccupino del fatto di non poter rientrare nel loro paese di adozione una volta che ne sono usciti, con le nuove leggi del Trump, votato in massa proprio dai cubano americani in un momenti di tafazzismo acuto.
Hanno paura che per qualche cavillo burocratico la loro avventura nelle terre confederate giunga al termine con tutto cio' che questo puo' comportare.
Il mio amico mi diceva che il lavoro e' calato ma che comunque resta sufficiente per mantenersi senza dover toccare le risorse economiche "italiane", credo che in fondo questa sia la cosa importante.

Vi avevo raccontato di aver gia' pagato la renta per i prossimi 45 giorni, l'ho fatto a marzo, il dueno ne aveva bisogno, ora mi ha chiesto di dilazionare la cosa in due vacanze, cioe' a questo giro scaliamo 25 giorni e 20 glieli pago, al prossimo giro, primavera 2026, scaliamo gli altri 20.
Quasi nulla il turismo tunero, i prezzi alle stelle e tutto il resto.
Non ci sono problemi, alla fine non mi cambia nulla, se posso dare una mano ad un vecchio amico lo faccio volentieri.

RANDOM THINGS

As I've already told you, I bought my plane ticket to Cuba a couple of weeks ago. After the August bank holiday and its frenzy, I'll take care of purchasing the Viazul ticket and visa online at the consulate in Milan. My taxi driver friend Villans, who's picking me up at my mountain, has already been alerted about the dates.
Obviously, while I'm in season, leaving isn't on my mind. I'm also thinking about the month I'll be spending at home, from mid-September until departure, a month I really need.
But let's just say that, as usual, the days are passing and the flight is getting closer.

I hear from people in Tunas, the apagones continue, sometimes longer, sometimes lighter; at the camp outside the city they're worse and longer.
Of all the problems I might encounter in Cuba, this is really the only one that really bothers me, considering it's a temporary inconvenience because I have a return flight, whereas Cubans have to deal with this inconvenience every day.

I spoke to a dear friend who owns a pub just outside Havana, who told me that business has dropped significantly and, above all, the Cuban-Americans, who were excellent customers, have almost disappeared.
More than the economic crisis, I think they're worried about not being able to return to their adopted country once they leave, with the new laws of Trump, voted in overwhelmingly by Cuban-Americans at a time of acute tafazzism.
They fear that some bureaucratic quibble will end their adventure in the Confederacy, with all that that entails.
My friend told me that work has decreased but that it's still enough to support himself without having to touch the "Italian" economic resources. I think that's the important thing.

I told you I'd already paid the rent for the next 45 days. I did it in March, the Dueno needed it. Now he's asked me to spread it over two holidays. That is, this time we'll deduct 25 days and I'll pay him 20. Next time, in spring 2026, we'll deduct the other 20.
Tunisian tourism is almost nothing, the sky-high prices and all the rest.
There's no problem, in the end it doesn't change anything for me. If I can lend a hand to an old friend, I'm happy to do so.
