I nuovi delinquenti 🇮🇹🇬🇧

Si fa un gran parlare della recrudescenza della delinquenza a Cuba, mi riservo il diritto di pensare che si...magari l'aumento c'e' stato ma coi social non scappa piu' nulla, non e' detto che in passato certe cose non accadessero, rimanendo pero' silenti.
Ma chi sono questi "nuovi" delinquenti?

Nella stragrande maggioranza ragazzini.
Ti arrivano in due da dietro, uno ti chiede i soldi, l'altro ha una lama, se non fosse una enorme cazzata mi piacerebbe capire dove saprebbero spingersi nel caso che il malcapitato di turno sapesse come comportarsi.
Ma e' una cazzata, giro al massimo con l'equivalente di 50 euro in tasca e un movil da 100 (da nuovo...oggi vale pochi spiccioli) non vale la pena fare l'eroe per difendere il nulla, questo vale anche per il sottoscritto che e' stato nazionale militare di judo.
Anzi vale soprattutto per il sottoscritto, visto che il gioco non vale mai la candela.

Come dicevo sono ragazzini, all'Avana vedo qualche "banda" di questi in giro, bandana nera in testa, vestiti come la baby gang di una qualunque citta' statunitense, espressione che si atteggia a duro e tutto l'armamentario del caso.
Hanno qualche lama che nascondono gelosamente e che tirano fuori quando decidono di attivarsi.
Sono ragazzini a cui il discorso ideologico non interessa piu' nulla, vivono per strada, si fanno di quimico per procurarsi il quale si dedicano a cio' che si dedicano.

Di lavorare non se ne parla, servono soldi facili e qualche impresa di cui vantarsi per giorni nel barrio, fondamentalmente sono dei vigliacchetti che aspettano l'oscurita' per uscire dalla loro fogna.
La policia finge di non vedere o vede e lascia correre visti gli evidenti problemi di organico che si trova ad affrontare, a causa della baja che molti stanno chiedendo visto che col salario di un policia ci vivi 6 giorni.

A Tunas il fenomeno e' meno evidente anche se alcuni stranieri sono stati assaltati, si dice anche che nottetempo nell'avenida dove c'e' la facolta' Lenin ci sia chi tira un cavo che attraversa la strada per far cadere chi gira in moto e fregargli cosi' il mezzo, ma non so se questa cosa sia vera o si tratti di una fake.
Del resto non soltanto gli stranieri vengono presi di mira ma anche i cubani.

Un mio conoscente marinero tunero appena sbarcato all'Avana con lo stipendio (1500 euro) guadagnato su una nave greca e' stato assaltato sul Malecon alle 7 di sera.
I delinquenti sapevano che da quelle navi scende gente col portafoglio gonfio.
Bel problema, speriamo che non peggiori perche' una certa sicurezza e' sempre stato uno dei requisiti per continuare, da parte nostra, ad andare a Cuba.

THE NEW "CRIMINALS"

There's a lot of talk about the resurgence of crime in Cuba. I reserve the right to think so... maybe there has been an increase, but with social media, nothing escapes. That's not to say that certain things didn't happen in the past, but remained silent.
But who are these "new" criminals?

The vast majority are kids.
Two of them come up behind you, one asks for money, the other has a blade. If it weren't such a load of bullshit, I'd like to know how far they'd go if the unfortunate guy in question knew how to behave.
But it's bullshit. I walk around with the equivalent of 50 euros in my pocket at most and a 100-euro Movil (new... today it's worth pennies). It's not worth playing the hero to defend nothing, this also applies to me, who was a member of the national judo team.
In fact, it's especially true for me, since the game is never worth the candle.

As I was saying, they're kids. In Havana, I see a few of these "gang" kids walking around, black bandanas on their heads, dressed like a kid gang from any American city, with a tough expression and all the necessary paraphernalia.
They have a few blades that they jealously hide and take out when they decide to take action.
They're kids who no longer care about ideological discourse; they live on the streets, they use chemicals, which they devote themselves to doing.

Work is out of the question; they need easy money and some feat to brag about for days in the neighborhood. Basically, they're cowards waiting for darkness to emerge from their sewer.
The police either pretend not to see or see and let things slide, given the obvious staffing problems they're facing, due to the tax many are demanding, given that on a policeman's salary you can live for six days.

In Tunas, the phenomenon is less evident, although some foreigners have been attacked. It's also said that at night, on the avenue near Lenin University, someone throws a cable across the street to knock down motorcycle riders and steal their vehicles, but I don't know if this is true or a fake.
Besides, it's not just foreigners who are targeted, but Cubans too.

A Tunas sailor acquaintance of mine who had just landed in Havana with the salary (1,500 euros) he earned on a Greek ship was attacked on the Malecon at 7 p.m.
The criminals knew that those ships were full of people with deep pockets.
It's a big problem, let's hope it doesn't get worse, because a certain level of security has always been a requirement for us to continue going to Cuba.
