Ho aspettato qualche mese per vedere questo Papa americano come si muoveva.
Sospettavo fortemente che dopo Francesco arrivasse sul seggio di Pietro un "normalizzatore".
La chiesa e' piena di situazioni simili, dopo Papa Giovanni, arrivo' Paolo VI...per dire.

Ho letto alcune dichiarazioni di Leone, mai una presa di posizione netta, mai uno sbilanciarsi, mai un guizzo, la piu' piatta e fastidiosa normalita'.
Francesco si sbilanciava su tutto, forse persino troppo, aveva detto che la guerra in Ucraina era una schifezza ma aveva aggiunto che tutto era iniziato nel 2014, non nel 2022.

Su Gaza e la guerra in medio oriente era stato chiaro, attaccando Israele che e' oramai una stato nazista ad ogni livello.
Leone...nulla, l'altro giorno lo vedo con Salvini, che Francesco non aveva mai voluto invitare e che non avrebbe toccato neanche con la canna da pesca.
Ora col presidente di quello stato terrorista che e' Israele.

Non una parola sulle decine di migliaia di bambini assassinati, non una parola su un genocidio.
UIn Papa funzionale a questi tristi e inutili tempi, dopo uno come Francesco era chiaro che avrebbero eletto una simile figura.

I waited a few months to see how this American Pope would move forward.
I strongly suspected that after Francis, a "normalizer" would arrive on the throne of Peter.
The Church is full of similar situations; after Pope John, Paul VI arrived... for example.

I've read some of Leone's statements, never a clear stance, never a single move, never a flicker, the most flat and annoying normality.
Francis was unbalanced on everything, perhaps even too much. He said the war in Ukraine was a disgrace, but added that it all began in 2014, not 2022.

On Gaza and the war in the Middle East, he was clear, attacking Israel, which is now a Nazi state at every level.
Leone...nothing. The other day I saw him with Salvini, whom Francis had never wanted to invite and wouldn't have touched even with a fishing rod.
Now with the president of that terrorist state, Israel.

Not a word about the tens of thousands of murdered children, not a word about genocide.
With a Pope who serves these sad and futile times, after someone like Francis, it was clear they would elect someone like him.
