Siamo cosi' giunti, anche quest'anno, al fatidico settembre.
Agosto qua' in villaggio e' passato rapidamente, come avviene sempre, per assurdo c'e' stata piu' gente nelle due settimane successive al Ferragosto piuttosto che in quelli che dovrebbero essere i giorni piu' "pieni" dell'estate.
Comunque anche agosto e' andato.

Come vi ho gia' raccontato e' stata un'estate con molte meno presenze rispetto al previsto, soprattutto sono mancati gli italiani.
Non credo dipenda solo al caro ombrelloni, sono i bilanci famigliari che iniziano a fare acqua da tutte le parti, anche se si lavora in due.

In questi giorni i miei animatori che frequentano le universita' rientreranno nelle loro citta', in parte saranno sostituiti da altri ma in numero minore perche in queste ultime due settimane da contratto dobbiamo essere di meno.
La struttura si va svuotando complice un tempo non bellissimo, dopo ferragosto, come accadeva un tempo, le temperature si sono guastate e l'italiano, con la vacanza, acquista anche il sole, se non c'e' e' stato "truffato".

Comunque i titoli di coda si avvicinano, la stanchezza di una lunga ed impegnativa stagione si fa sentire, meno di 2 settimane e si trona a casa.
Poi quattro settimane sui miei monti e dopo....Cuba.

SEPTEMBER

"September is the month of reflecting on years and age; after summer, it brings the familiar gift of perplexity. You sit and think and start the game of your identity again: like sparks, possibilities burn in your fire."

So we've arrived, once again this year, at the fateful September.
August here in the village passed quickly, as always happens; ironically, there were more people in the two weeks following Ferragosto than in what should be the busiest days of summer.
Anyway, August is gone too.

As I've already told you, it was a summer with far fewer visitors than expected, especially the Italians.
I don't think it's just the high cost of beach umbrellas; it's the family budgets that are starting to take a hit, even if you work two jobs.

These days, my university-trained entertainers will be returning to their cities. Some will be replaced by others, but their numbers will be smaller because, according to our contract, we have fewer staff in these last two weeks.
The facility is emptying, thanks to the less than stellar weather. After mid-August, as it used to be, temperatures have deteriorated, and Italians, with their vacation, also gain the sun; if it's not there, they've been "cheated."

Anyway, the closing credits are approaching, and the fatigue of a long and demanding season is starting to take its toll. Less than two weeks and it's back home.
Then four weeks in my mountains, and after that... Cuba.
