Salvini e', senza dubbio alcuno, il peggior ministro dei trasporti della storia prima del Regno e poi della Repubblica, su questo non ci sono dubbi.
Il suo codice della strada e' la peggior cagata mai partorita da un ministro dei trasporti, del ponte sullo stretto non e' neanche il caso di parlare.
Pero' ne ha detta, sicuramente sbagliando, una giusta.

Occorre essere molto piu' selettivi sui rinnovi della patente per gli over 80.
Lo dico con un non so che di tafazzismo perche', se mai per sbaglio arrivassi a quell'eta', a piedi non vorrei restare.
Pero' i casi di incidenti di quest'estate dove alcuni over 80 hanno fatto inversione in autostrada o in strade statali causando scontri anche mortali spingono a qualche riflessione.

La cosa pero' investe anche le modalita' con cui viene prorogata la patente.
Un paio di anni fa mi tocco'.
Misero a mezzo metro da me l'apparato luminoso con le lettere da leggere, mi chiesero che lettera era una L gigantesca, l'avrebbe letta anche Bocelli, alla mia risposta esatta mi dissero; "Ok va bene, passi alla cassa...100 euro".
Non puo' funzionare cosi', solo per far guadagnare le agenzie che si occupano di queste pratiche.

Secondo me agli over 80 andrebbe fatta anche una prova di guida, perche' se sei rincoglionito la macchina non la devi prendere.
Lo dico vivendo in un paesino pedemontano, a 7 km da Giaveno, dove o hai la macchina o resti chiuso a casa, e' pieno di over 80 che sfrecciano sul loro pandino ai 70 all'ora in seconda...
Questo non vuol dire limitare la liberta' di nessuno ma se sei un pericolo per te stesso, ma soprattutto per gli altri, in automobile non ci devi salire.
E' brutto da dire ma 'e piu' brutto mandare la gente in obitorio.

OVER 80S IN CARS

Salvini is, without a doubt, the worst transport minister in the history of the Kingdom and then of the Republic, there's no doubt about that.
His highway code is the worst piece of crap ever produced by a transport minister; the bridge over the Strait of Messina isn't even worth mentioning.
However, he did say something right, certainly wrongly.

We need to be much more selective about license renewals for those over 80.
I say this with a certain amount of tackiness because, if I were ever to accidentally reach that age, I wouldn't want to be left on foot.
However, the accidents this summer where some over 80s made U-turns on the highway or state roads, causing collisions that were sometimes fatal, give rise to some reflection.

This also affects the procedures for license renewals.
A couple of years ago, I was involved.
They placed the illuminated device with the letters to read half a meter away from me, and asked me what the letter was, a giant L. Even Bocelli could have read it. When I answered correctly, they said, "Okay, fine, go to the cashier...100 euros."
It can't work like this, just to make money for the agencies that handle these procedures.

In my opinion, people over 80 should also be given a driving test, because if you're a moron, you shouldn't drive.
I say this because I live in a small town in the foothills, 7 km from Giaveno, where you either have a car or you stay home. It's full of people over 80 who speed around in their Fiat Pandas at 70 miles an hour in second gear...
This doesn't mean restricting anyone's freedom, but if you're a danger to yourself, and especially to others, you shouldn't be in a car.
It's awful to say, but it's even worse to send people to the morgue.
