Da qualche parte ho letto di un video fatto da Marco Rizzo in cui dichiarava di non essere piu' di sinistra.
Credo di conoscere personalmente Marco da 40 anni.

Quando mori' mio padre ci fu' un funerale laico, con migliaia di persone e un quartiere di Torino (Lucento) bloccato dalla gente, ricordo che arrivo' anche una banda musicale.
L"omelia" laica la fece proprio Marco, quindi per me parlare in modo non positivo di un amico e' difficile.
Fui anche candidato, una decina di anni fa, per il suo piccolo Partito Comunista, giusto per fare numero senza ambizione alcuna, se volevo fare il politico avevo la strada aperta ai tempi del Pci visto che mia madre ci lavorava con un ruolo importante, non certo dopo.

Siamo stati militanti insieme nel Pci, poi in Rifondazione con Bertinotti e nei Comunisti Italiani di Cossutta e Diliberto.
Ci conosciamo, non ci sentiamo da tempo ma gli auguri reciproci ai compleanni non mancano mai.
Proprio perche' in famiglia lo conosciamo bene sappiamo anche che prima viene Rizzo, poi eventualmente, il partito.

Marco campa piuttosto bene a Roma col vitalizio di ex parlamentare europeo, diciamo l'equivalente di 3 stipendi normali.
Potrebbe stare tranquillo ma ha ancora voglia di buttarsi nell'agone politico, visto che con un partito il cui simbolo e' la falce ed il martello arrivava allo 0 virgola ha deciso di prendere altre strade.

Il discorso che non e' piu' di sinistra perche' lui era per Berlinguer che andava davanti ai cancelli Fiat, mentre la Schlein va ai gay pride regge poco.
Ho visto davanti ai cancelli Fiat molto piu' mio padre, sindacalista di quelli veri, che lui.
E' sempre stato un Comunista atipico, amava la figa, il pugilato, il Toro, distante mille miglia dal classico, a volte triste, militante.
E' sempre stato uno che si e' goduto la vita, forse per questo mi è simpatico.

L'ultima volta che ci siamo visti a Torino, la nostra citta', eravamo noi due, Oskar il cantante degli Statuto e pochi altri a parlare di politica.
Non mi piace vederlo accumulato a Vannacci, Alemanno e a quella gentaglia, lui 'e qualcosa di meglio, in questa avventura di Democrazia Sovrana e Popolare non lo seguo, non e' roba per me.

Essere di sinistra e' uno stato dell'anima che non ha nulla a che vedere con il Pd o con Berlinguer, che non ho mai amato troppo per quell'errore enorme che e' stato l'euro comunismo.
Se ti allontani dalla fonte alla fine l'acqua ti manca.

Quindi vedo i video di Marco, a volte li condivido nei contenuti, spesso, sempre piu' spesso, mi sembrano la forzatura di uno che vuole visibilita' ad ogni costo.
Forse perche' sullo schermo ci sa stare, per questo lo invitano alle trasmissioni.
Non lo seguo in questa sua sfida, resto di sinistra o di quello che ne resta, non ho neppure bisogno di un partito, il mio essere Comunista e' dentro di me e nessun revisionismo potra' mai cambiare questo stato di cose.

Marco resta un amico che ha preso un'altra strada, una strada per cui non nutro particolare interesse.

Somewhere I read about a video made by Marco Rizzo in which he declared he was no longer a leftist.
I think I've known Marco personally for 40 years.

When my father died, there was a secular funeral, with thousands of people, and a neighborhood in Turin (Lucento) was blocked by people. I remember even a marching band showed up.
Marco himself gave the secular "homily," so it's difficult for me to speak negatively about a friend.
I was also a candidate, about ten years ago, for his small Communist Party, just to make up the numbers without any ambition. If I wanted to be a politician, the path was open to me during the PCI (Italian Communist Party) days, since my mother worked there in an important role, but certainly not after that.

We were militants together in the PCI, then in Rifondazione with Bertinotti, and in the Italian Communists under Cossutta and Diliberto.
We know each other, but we haven't spoken in a while, but we always exchange birthday greetings.
Precisely because we know him well in the family, we also know that Rizzo comes first, then, eventually, the party.

Marco lives quite well in Rome on a former MEP's pension, equivalent to three normal salaries, let's say.
He could be comfortable, but he still wants to throw himself into the political arena, given that with a party whose symbol is the hammer and sickle, he reached zero point, he has decided to take other paths.

The argument that he's no longer left-wing because he supported Berlinguer, who went to the Fiat gates, while Schlein went to gay pride parades, doesn't hold up well.
I saw my father, a real trade unionist, much more often than him in front of the Fiat gates.
He's always been an atypical Communist; he loved pussy, boxing, and the Bull, a far cry from the classic, sometimes sad, militant.
He's always been someone who enjoyed life, maybe that's why I like him.

The last time we saw each other in Turin, our city, it was the two of us, Oskar the singer of Statuto, and a few others talking politics.
I don't like seeing him lumped in with Vannacci, Alemanno, and that bunch of riffraff. He's something better. I don't follow him in this Sovereign and Popular Democracy adventure; it's not for me.

Being left-wing is a state of mind that has nothing to do with the Democratic Party or Berlinguer, whom I've never loved much because of that enormous mistake that was Euro-communism.
If you distance yourself from the source, you end up running out of water.

So I watch Marco's videos, sometimes I share their content, but often, increasingly, they seem forced by someone who wants visibility at all costs.
Maybe because he knows how to be on screen, that's why they invite him on their shows.
I don't follow him in this challenge; I remain left-wing, or what's left of it. I don't even need a party; my Communist essence is within me, and no revisionism will ever be able to change that.

Marco remains a friend who has taken a different path, a path I have no particular interest in.
