La grande crisi che sta' patendo il turismo romagnolo e' sotto gli occhi di tutti.
Spiagge che si riempiono, mai del tutto, solo nel fine settimana, per il resto i lettini restano desolatamente vuori, siamo ad agosto.
Perche'?

La Romagna e' sempre stata meta di un turismo, lo dico con rispetto, medio basso.
Per decenni hanno funzionato le pensioncine romagnole da 10/15 camere dove ti trattavano come uno di famiglia, spendevi poco e se il mare non era il massino te lo facevi comunque andare bene.
Lo dico con cognizione di causa, anche io da bimbo, figlio di operai ho trascorso qualche estate in quelle pensioni famigliari.

In Liguria ti inculavano una volta e non importa se non tornavi, in Romagna facevano di tutto perche' tornassi l'anno dopo.
Comunque i prezzi anche negli hotel sono sempre stati concorrenziali, in piu' tantissimo divertimento alla sera, in questo il romagnolo non lo hai battuto nessuno.
Quindi prezzi ragionevoli e divertimento, ottimale per famiglie e giovani.

Dopo la pandemia tutto e' cambiato, ci sono strutture qua' a Comacchio, camping con casette, che per le due settimane centrali di agosto chiedono 5/6 mila euro, a Comacchio ripeto...
E' chiaro che quel turista italiano che, magari con fatica, riusciva a farsi la vacanza oggi non se lo puo' piu' permettere, infatti gli italiani se non sono spariti poco ci manca.

Vengono gli stranieri, con i loro stipendi che sono i doppio dei nostri, noi certei lussi non ce li possiamo piu' permettere.
La Romagna ha perso quell'unicita' che attirava il turismo che doveva salvaguardare il proprio portagfoglio, quello da colazione e cena in hotel e pranzo da risolvere con uno yogurth in spiaggia.
E' un turismo che oggi vive di mordi e fuggi, 2/3 giorni da fare possibilmente vicino a casa.
Non piu' in Romagna.

The severe crisis affecting tourism in Romagna is there for all to see.
Beaches fill up, never completely, only on weekends; otherwise, sunbeds remain desolately empty—it's August.
Why?

Romagna has always been a tourist destination, I say this with respect, of medium-low quality.
For decades, the small Romagna guesthouses with 10 to 15 rooms operated, where they treated you like family, you spent little, and even if the sea wasn't the best, you could still make do.
I say this with full knowledge of the facts; as a child, the son of workers, I too spent a few summers in those family guesthouses.

In Liguria, they'd screw you once and it didn't matter if you didn't come back; in Romagna, they'd do everything they could to make you come back the following year.
However, hotel prices have always been competitive, plus there's plenty of evening entertainment; no one beats the Romagna region in this regard.
So, reasonable prices and fun, perfect for families and young people.

After the pandemic, everything has changed. There are facilities here in Comacchio, campsites with cabins, that for the two central weeks of August ask for 5,000-6,000 euros. In Comacchio, I repeat...
It's clear that the Italian tourist who, perhaps with difficulty, managed to take a vacation today can no longer afford it. In fact, if Italians haven't disappeared, they're almost there.

Foreigners come, with their salaries double ours; we can no longer afford certain luxuries.

Romagna has lost that uniqueness that attracted tourists who needed to protect their wallets, the one with breakfast and dinner in the hotel and lunch to be paid off with a yogurt on the beach.
Today, tourism thrives on hit-and-run trips, spending two or three days, preferably close to home.
No longer in Romagna.
