PhotoChain 99 - Fine Dining At The Sunflower Ristorante
Hello Italian Community and future PhotoChainers. I'm in the mood to do another promotion for this cool and creative contest, the PhotoChain Challenge, now on its 99th Edition or Week. This contest is hosted by @davidesimoncini in the Italian Community. Have you heard of this yet? If not, read up while I try to interest you in to joining this comment contest.
Every week, 2 new Keywords or Objects are announced by the contest host. Now each participant is challenged to show these 2 Keywords or Objects in one picture, taken by the participants themselves. No photos from the internet or AI are allowed. Simple, right? Okay, so for this week the Keywords are BROWN and INSECT. Any insect will do as with the color brown. A photo of any brown insect will do the trick. Once you have your photo, just enter it under the comment section of the contest post, the link of which is provided at the end of this post. Again, simple, right?
Now comes the next rule of the challenge which oftentimes confuses any new participant. This rule states that upon entering your photo, you must specify or identify a third Keyword or Object also found in your photo. This is important because if your entry wins, then that third Keyword becomes one of the two that will be used in the next week. To illustrate this, read on.
As a background to my entry for Brown and Insect there used to be a sunflower plant just outside our home a few years ago. This plant was really big and tall and bloomed a lot of those yellow and sunny flowers. Here's a photo of it.
One sunny morning while I was inspecting the plant for new blooms I noticed a little brown speck in one of the stalks of the plant. I went a bit closer and took a photo.
It looked like a spider and so I went even closer to see what it was up to. Here's what I saw.
Apparently, the spider caught a huge fly and was dining on the delicious morsel al fresco under the sunflower. I immediately went even much closer, careful not to disturb the gourmand and took macro shots of the fine dining moment.
The second photo upto the last photo above are actually valid entries to the contest this week. The brown insect is present in all these photos. Now all I have to do is choose which one of these I will enter. After I decide, I have to specify my third keyword or object known also as my personal keyword. My choice is between the last two photos where the diner and the dined are enlarged together with the ambiance of the ristorante. You know, bright green background, lots of white hairy growth from the leaves providing soft and silky seats, private room under the stalks, and all that. I still haven't decided which of the two but whichever it is, my personal or third keyword can be Green, Leaf or Leaves, Stalks, Fly, Spider, Legs, Wings Black, and even Sunlight. Suppose I choose Leaves, and I win, then Leaves will be one of the keywords to be used next week. There are always two winners every week so 2 new keywords to use every Round.
Now after deciding on my photo, all I have to do is enter it in the comment section of the contest post, the link of which is here and include my personal keyword. And I am good to go.
Did I do enough to interest you in joining? Do you have photos similar to the ones I showed above? If yes, then join us. You will be very welcome.
All for now. May you all have a blessed weekend ahead. Ciao.

Wow, another good finding, Gems. And a beautiful foreground, it's an awesome one. Thanks a lot for promoting the contest! :)
