A female lizard showed up where I was sitting observing my farm. I was wondering what it was up to. I thought it found a nearby insect to feast on but as looked around, I couldn't found any.

But as it tried to come closer, it was scared and was gazing at me with utmost cautiousness.

When I brought out my camera to take some shots, it ran from spot to another place while still gazing at me. I was wondering, what was it's motive? Well, only the creature knows.

Lizards don't scare me, even though I don't like their appearance. They are reptiles belonging to the order Squamata, the same that also includes snakes. I did a little research and found out that lizards, as we know them today, descend from ancient reptiles that lived about 200-250 million years ago.

Congratulations!

Yeah, they are reptiles and they don’t scare me too. But I hate it when they intrude in my compound especially the red headed matured male ones - very stubborn.
Anyway, i let them live their lives.
