Haha. Yeah, it's one thing to learn it in the comfort of your own home but then when it comes to actually trying to speak with someone it's a different story. I had the same issue when I went to Quebec, Canada. I had been learning French (still am. It's currently my main focus for language learning, with Japanese second in priority) but when it came to ordering food and stuff, I kinda froze up. I managed to force myself to say some basic words and phrases and it turned out ok.

I understand some topics pretty well but I need to do more listening practice to slow down the language in my head. Thats what got me.
