A BELIEVER'S JOURNEY 2
34 WAIT ON THE LORD, AND KEEP HIS WAY, AND HE SHALL EXALT YOU TO INHERIT THE LAND; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
35 I HAVE SEEN THE WICKED IN GREAT POWER, And spreading himself like a native green tree.
36 YET HE PASSED AWAY, AND BEHOLD, HE WAS NO MORE; Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 MARK THE BLAMELESS MAN, AND OBSERVE THE UPRIGHT; FOR THE FUTURE OF THAT MAN IS PEACE.
38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together; The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
39 BUT THE SALVATION OF THE RIGHTEOUS IS FROM THE LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble.
40 AND THE LORD SHALL HELP THEM AND DELIVER THEM; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them,
BECAUSE THEY TRUST IN HIM."
Psalm 37:34–40 (NKJV)
• In the first section of the Psalm, the text of this teaching, there was emphasis on commiting your way to God and He would bring to pass your desires:
3 TRUST IN THE LORD, AND DO GOOD; DWELL IN THE LAND, AND FEED ON HIS FAITHFULNESS. 4 DELIGHT YOURSELF ALSO IN THE LORD, AND HE SHALL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART. 5 COMMIT YOUR WAY TO THE LORD, TRUST ALSO IN HIM, AND HE SHALL BRING IT TO PASS. 6 HE SHALL BRING FORTH YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS AS THE LIGHT, AND YOUR JUSTICE AS THE NOONDAY" (Psalm 37:3-6 NKJV).
- It is all about the emphasis on seeking to know God's Will or mind on whatever you wanted to do. A believer's life, or Christian living, should be about doing or living in line with God's Word or Will or Plan.
a. Allow Christ to live through you: "I HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; IT IS NO LONGER I WHO LIVE, BUT CHRIST LIVES IN ME. THE LIFE I NOW LIVE IN THE BODY I LIVE BY FAITH [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] IN THE SON OF GOD, WHO LOVED ME AND GAVE HIMSELF UP FOR ME" (Galatians 2:20 Amps).
b. You living for Christ Jesus:
"HE [Jesus] DIED FOR EVERYONE SO THAT THOSE WHO RECEIVE HIS NEW LIFE WILL NO LONGER LIVE FOR THEMSELVES. INSTEAD, THEY WILL LIVE FOR CHRIST, WHO DIED AND WAS RAISED FOR THEM" (2 Corinthians 5:15 NLT).
READ: 1 Peter 4:2
• God is watching your acts or deeds.
(i) Sow good seeds in your life. Also, sow good seeds in the life of others; for whatever you sow, that which you shall also reap—every act is a seed (Galatians 6:7).
(ii) Allow God to lead you. If you did, you would not be disappointed (Proverbs 3:5,6; 14:12; Romans 8:14).
(iii) Another Important thing to Note is, the law of Timing.
a. There is a time appointed for all things: "THERE IS A SEASON (a time appointed) FOR EVERYTHING AND A TIME FOR EVERY DELIGHT AND EVENT OR PURPOSE UNDER HEAVEN" (Ecclesiastes 3:1 Amps).
b. And: "HE HAS MADE EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL IN ITS TIME. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, EXCEPT THAT NO ONE CAN FIND OUT THE WORK THAT GOD DOES FROM BEGINNING TO END" (Ecclesiastes 3:11 NKJV).
c. Thus, a believer who understands timing would follow God, at His pace. You allow Him to take the lead and direct, because there is no way a human can comprehend the details of what God wanted to do in—or with, or through—his or her life.
d. A believer who understands timing would wait on God for his or her time to come. Knowing that God cannot mismanage his or her life and destiny.
YOUR life is in God's hand. His way or pattern might seem to be slow, but it is the most rewarding.
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, I declare your healing now in Jesus' name.
- Whatever of the devil that would not allow you to live in health and peace, such is cursed and uprooted totally in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
