"PRAYING ALWAYS WITH ALL PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION IN THE SPIRIT, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints."
Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV)

• In the first part of this teaching, we have been able to explain the devil's work and his mode of operations.

  • In this piece, we would be talking about God and His the pattern in His Kingdom on the earth.

• God has the spiritual carpenters or craftsmen; the believers in Christ Jesus who are agents and representatives of His Kingdom on the earth to counter or outwit the works of the devil and his cohorts:
20 THEN THE LORD SHOWED ME FOUR CRAFTSMEN. 21 AND I SAID, “WHAT ARE THESE COMING TO DO?”
SO HE SAID, “THESE ARE THE HORNS THAT SCATTERED JUDAH, SO THAT NO ONE COULD LIFT UP HIS HEAD; BUT THE CRAFTSMEN ARE COMING TO TERRIFY THEM, TO CAST OUT THE HORNS OF THE NATIONS THAT LIFTED UP THEIR HORN AGAINST THE LAND OF JUDAH TO SCATTER IT" " (Zechariah 1:20,21 NKJV).
READ: Zechariah 1:18-21

  • Various leaders in the body of Christ, and the believers who are walking in the Spirit, are God's agents and the representatives or ambassadors of God's Kingdom (Matthew 5:14-16; 2 Corinthians 5:20).
    a. Believers are the extension of God's Kingdom wherever they may find themselves or wherever they domiciled. b. Believers are the light in the midst of the darkness of the world (Matthew 5:14).
  • God has given the believers in Christ Jesus, the written Word and the Holy Spirit, to help us, in our journey on the earth (Psalm 119:105; John 14:16-18).
  • The believers are given the weapons of the Word of God and prayer, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to propagate the Kingdom of God on the earth.

• The weapons or instruments given us, the believers, which are meant to exercise the authority or power given us are: the name of Jesus (Philippians 2:9-11); the Word of God (Matthew 4:4,7,10; Hebrews 4:12); and the blood of Jesus (Revelation 12:11).
a. When the devil came to tempt Jesus Christ whilst on the earth, Jesus defeated him through the Word (Matthew 4:4,7,10). The Scriptures which Jesus Christ used in defeating the devil are found in Deuteronomy 6:13,16; and 8:3.
b. At the mention of Jesus' name every knee shall bow; of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth (Philippians 2:10).
THE name of Jesus has authority over every other name.
c. Through the blood of Jesus the devil was overcome (Revelation 12:11). And believers' access to God's presence is through the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19).

• The Holy Spirit also helps us in prayer, because we at times might not know how to pray as we ought to (Romans 8:26).

  • The Holy Spirit does that by giving us, the believers, utterances to communicate with God the Father in prayer, in the language of the Spirit or tongues (1 Corinthians 14:2).
  • Also, there are angels assigned to work for us, the believers, through the help of the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 1:14).
    Note:
    a. There are warring angels; the like of Michael (Daniel 10:13,21; 12:1; Jude 9; Revelation 12:7);
    b. There are also those who are meant for delivering of messages, such as Gabriel (Daniel 8:16-27; 9:20-27; Luke 1:19,26);
    c. And also those who's duty or assignment is to praise God, those who are before His throne praising and worshipping Him, God, day and night (Revelation 4:8; 5:11,12).

• The believers are potential winners, overcomers, and the triumphant saints, because Jesus Christ had won the battle over satan and his cohorts—He made an open show or public spectacle of them:
14 HAVING WIPED OUT THE HANDWRITING OF REQUIREMENTS THAT WAS AGAINST US, WHICH WAS CONTRARY TO US. AND HE HAS TAKEN IT OUT OF THE WAY, HAVING NAILED IT TO THE CROSS. 15 HAVING DISARMED PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS, HE MADE A PUBLIC SPECTACLE OF THEM, TRIUMPHING OVER THEM IN IT" (Colossians 2:14,15 NKJV).
READ: John 16:33; Romans 8:37; ; 1 John 5:4.

  • The believers are to press home the victory they had through Christ Jesus' death and resurrection.
  • We believers cannot fail because we are on the Lord's side, and we are working for the building of His Kingdom—God's Kingdom on the heart: "FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN BORN OF GOD OVERCOMES THE WORLD. AND THIS IS THE VICTORY THAT HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD—OUR FAITH" (1 John 5:4 ESV).
  • We, the believers, have the greater One in Us; Who is greater than he who is in the world—the devil: "YOU ARE OF GOD, LITTLE CHILDREN, AND HAVE OVERCOME THEM, BECAUSE HE WHO IS IN YOU IS GREATER THAN HE WHO IS IN THE WORLD" (1 John 4:4 NKJV).

• Note:

  • Believers may not need to be going about and be looking for the devil to fight with.
  • The believers had been given authority over him, the devil (Luke 10:19); whenever he surfaces or come up with anything, either to stop or hinder whatever you are assigned to do, you silence him and put him where he belongs.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • If you are battling with any sickness or disease, I said you are healed now in Jesus' name.
  • The hold of that sickness is destroyed in Jesus' name.
    Peace.

STEPS TO SALVATION
