Perversion of the Prophet’s Reward | Voice of God with Joseph Z
Discover how the Prophet’s reward is often perverted, as Joseph Z highlights the role of true prophets, showing how their ministry can free people from greed and bring blessings that truly enrich without causing sorrow.
Joseph explains that where there is a genuine prophetic anointing, a counterfeit can also exist, especially regarding the prophet’s reward. He references the story of Balaam, who valued money more than his calling from God. False prophets, he notes, tend to sensationalize and turn the prophet’s reward into a business. Joseph reminds us of the principle from Matthew 6:24, which states that no one can serve two masters; we cannot serve both God and mammon.

He clarifies that mammon isn’t just about money, but a spirit and a love for money that can influence people to do whatever it takes to get wealthy. Mammon is described as the currency of hell’s economy. Since the devil cannot operate within God’s anointing or through the Holy Spirit’s supernatural power, he instead relies on mammon—the love of money. This mindset encourages self-reliance, excludes God, and places oneself at the center of provision, forming the foundation of hell’s economy.
However, Joseph reveals that the prophet’s reward is a mighty force from the Holy Spirit, designed to break the chains of mammon. He explains that true prophets can distinguish between God’s blessings and mammon, noting that God's blessings enrich without causing sorrow.
He then emphasizes that a prophet’s ministry is more than foretelling the future; it also carries the anointing to help people become debt-free and increase their resources. Joseph further references Ephesians 4:11 to describe the role of the five-fold ministry and the prophet’s office, which is to build up and equip the body of Christ.
