The ingredients we'll need to make this herbal tomato ketchup with garlic are as follows:
Four medium-sized tomatoes
Sugar
Chili flakes
Vinegar
Garlic cloves
Salt
- First, I washed the tomatoes.Peeled and washed the garlic cloves and placed them in a small bowl. Since we had a small number of tomatoes, I used only a few.

- Then, I cut the tomatoes into quarters. I put water in a pan on the stove. When it started to heat up, I added the tomatoes and covered the pan with a plate to prevent steam from escaping and allow the tomatoes to cook easily.

- I then added the garlic cloves. Once the tomatoes and garlic cloves were cooked, I let them cool for 15 to 20 minutes and then blended the boiled tomatoes in a mixer. After grinding, I strained it through a cloth to separate the pulp and obtain a fresh, nutty juice.

- After that, I poured the tomato juice into a saucepan and let it simmer over low heat, stirring constantly with a spoon. Then, I added half a teaspoon of vinegar, sugar to taste, red chili, and salt, and let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes. I kept stirring constantly to ensure it didn't burn.
Our herbal tomato ketchup was ready.

No, I didn't face any difficulty making ketchup at home. It didn't use any ingredients I didn't have at home. The only difference was garlic, which we never make at home. But the kids eat garlic-based ketchup outside of my home. So, I made ketchup using garlic and a few tomatoes, just to give it a try. I didn't have any trouble making it at all. This wasn't a dish anyone would have difficulty making, because our teacher explained it very thoroughly, step by step.
What do you say about the taste and freshness of the homemade ketchup which you have prepared as compared to the market ketchup? |

This was my first time making this. I've made tomato chutney many times, but I've never used vinegar or garlic. However, this was my first time making ketchup using these two ingredients, but it turned out amazingly tasty. Since I like it spicy, I slightly increased the amount of chili. It was completely fresh, with no chemicals added, so I found it much better than the market ketchup. The best part was that if I ever ran out of ketchup, I could easily apply it at home and serve it with any dish.
