Homemade Tomato and Garlic Ketchup
I am extremely delighted to participate in the first week of Steemit Challenge Season 27 . Last time I learned a lot of herbal medicine from @afzalqamar. I believe this season I will get to know about Ketchup. So Let's hope for the best.

Herbal Ketchup with Garlic
Ingredients Used In The Remedy

Sugar | 2 tbs |
Salt | 1/3 tbs |
White vinager | 1 tbs |
Chilli flex | 1 tbs |
Water | 1 cup |
Making Process
Step- I
First I gathered all the ingredients. Then I washed the tomatoes thoroughly. The tomatoes were stored in the fridge. So I took them out of the fridge a while before preparing the ketchup.

Here I chopped the tomatoes into small pieces so that I could cook them easily. I chopped them with a knife. Then I peeled the garlic cloves. After taking the picture, I cut the garlic cloves into small pieces so that they would cook faster.

Then I put the chopped tomatoes in a pan and put them on the stove. Here I used about a cup of water. Then I put a lid on it and let the tomatoes cook on low heat. After the tomatoes cooked for about 4-5 minutes, I added the garlic cloves. Then I cooked them for another three to four minutes.

Then I blended the cooked tomatoes and garlic in a blender until they were well blended. The more you blend it, the smoother the ketchup will be. After blending, I strained it using a sieve to remove any skins or other hard particles.

In this step I again added the bland tomato sauce to a pan and cooked them on low flame. Then I slowly added the rest of the ingredients. I added 1/3 teaspoon of salt then 2 teaspoons of sugar and stirred them well. Then here I used chili flakes it added a great flavor to the ketchup, here I added a little more chili flakes because it is my preference. I used about a tablespoon of chili flakes you can use less if you want. Finally I added vinegar and stirred for some more time. After 4 to 5 minutes of simmering like this my ketchup is ready.
Did you face any difficulty in the preparation of the ketchup at home?(2)
To be honest, I faced two problems while preparing it. The first problem was that I did not have enough tomatoes at home. There is still a shortage of tomatoes in the market so I had few tomatoes in my storage. I prepared the ketchup with whatever tomatoes I had. Later, I will prepare this ketchup with more tomatoes when there is a shortage of tomatoes in the market. This was the first problem I faced. Another problem was with the vinegar because our course teacher used grape vinegar here which I did not have at home. Also, it is quite difficult for me to get grape vinegar from where I am staying. So instead of grape or apple vinegar, I used white vinegar.
What do you say about the taste and freshness of the homemade ketchup which you have prepared as compared to the market ketchup?(2)
When comparing today's homemade ketchup and the ketchups available in the market, I think the two taste different. Homemade tomato ketchup has the real sweet and sour taste of tomatoes, there are no preservatives or artificial flavors, so the taste is very natural and rich. Market ketchup is comparatively sweeter. Also, it is thicker. Which I don't like.
Homemade ketchup is made and eaten within a few days, so the fresh smell and color of the tomato are right. Market ketchup is made for long-term storage, so the fresh tomato smell is greatly reduced due to preservatives. Also, market ketchups have more preservatives in them to store them for a long time, so their quality decreases. So to me, homemade tomato ketchups are great, fresh and healthy.
