Bible 📖 Time (2 Samuel 12 & 13)

Amnon, Absalom & Tamar

Okay. This is a kind of funky story... but I'll tell it anyway.

King David's oldest son was Amnon.
Back in the day, it was okay to have multiple wives and have multiple children, ending up with half brothers and sisters.

Well,,, Amnon's half sister was Tamar, and he was secretly in love with her. Yes, you read that right.
Amnon had a plot and pretended to be sick to get Tamar to come to his house to heal him back to "health."

She believed he was sick, and so, she went to go take care of him. Then, one awful day, he attacked her and raped her. She ran home and told her full brother, Absalom, who got really pissed off and wanted revenge.
He waited 2 years until there was a huge party festival, and Amnon got really drunk. Then Absalom killed him right there on the spot. Everyone freaked out and ran fearing for their own lives because they didn't know she got raped. But soon everyone found out. Her reputation was over. Then, he exiled himself to another land because he knew his dad, David, wouldn't have of it. Tamar was never to be heard from again.
