🌿 A Calm Monday Off: My Day in Peshawar
🍃 “A free Monday in Peshawar turned into a day of food, study, and little joys.”
Last night, I received a message from my university announcing that Monday was off. Our teachers weren’t available, so all the classes were cancelled — a little unexpected break!
🌅 Morning
I woke up at 8, got freshened up, and started my day with two glasses of water. For breakfast, my mother made Gungrhi, a traditional dish that originates from Swabi. It’s prepared with boiled wheat grains, black channa, beans, and corn, topped with chopped onions. Even though I live in Peshawar, enjoying this Swabi specialty at home felt truly comforting.
After breakfast, I relaxed a little, scrolling through YouTube shorts and listening to music while enjoying the calm morning vibes.
☀️ Afternoon
For lunch, I had a simple yet hearty meal of dal, roti, and achaar (pickle). Afterwards, I sat down to study and focused on learning about the cranial nerves — definitely an interesting topic. A warm cup of tea gave me the extra push I needed to stay focused.
🌸 Evening
Something exciting today was a new decoration piece we bought — a wind chime made entirely of seashells. I installed it myself, and it added such a soothing and aesthetic touch to the room.
For dinner, we enjoyed chicken tikka and pizza, ending the day on a delicious note.
🌙 Closing Thoughts
Even though classes were unexpectedly off, it turned out to be a peaceful and refreshing day filled with good food, study time, and a little home decor joy. Sometimes, these simple days are the ones that feel the most special. 💫
