The Diary Game: When Sickness Strikes, Battling With Malaria And Typhoid(09-09-2025)

Hello there, I'm Blessing Isong known here on Steemit as @blezisong. I'm not actually strong today but I won't also fail to update you about my diary. I've been down since last night, I woke up with severe headache and high fever. I managed to do my chores, took my bath and since I didn't have appetite, I didn't consider breakfast.

At 9am, I went off to a drug store to buy drugs. I waited till 9am because I thought they won't open till that time but when I asked them about their opening time, they told me 7:30am and I pinned it for next time. I told them the symptoms I had and I was asked to treat malaria and typhoid, I asked for the drugs and this particular malaria drug was recommended and I hope it lives up to its hype. Other drugs were added and I was given the dosage, I paid and went home.

I managed to eat so I could take my drugs when I got home, I was lucky enough to have a meal at home not like some days where I'll have to prepare something in the morning. I warmed the food and ate, took drugs and lied down. I couldn't sleep, I kept rolling from one side of the bed to another. I didn't have anyone at home to tell my pains and I called my friend to update him about my ill health.

My friend wasn't happy because to him, I brought the sickness Hoon myself. I was given mosquito net but haven't slept in it for a day before, the previous time I slept in a mosquito net, it was too hot and uncomfortable. So I couldn't subject myself to such stress but then, my friend won't understand. He told me to keep calm that I'll be fine and also assured me of visiting soon. He came around some hours later and bought me some chicken, hopefully this will make me feel better.

I laughed at his joke and got the chicken from him, went into the kitchen and brought plate to put it. I ate the chicken and took the drink he brought a long, he kept me company for some hours and left when it became dark. I took my drugs and dinner, had a hot water bath and began to blog. After this, I'll be going to bed to rest as I couldn't sleep in the afternoon. It's nice having you read my blog, hope to see you on the next one.
