Tell us at what time you usually start craving a late-night bite. Is it a sweet craving or a savoury craving, or does it depend on your mood?

Some moments require savoury cravings, and some require sweet cravings. At times, I crave to eat early in the morning but most often I crave late at night because of my busy daily schedules.

Also depends on what my kids also crave to eat because in the process of preparing it for them, you also turn to crave what they requested

Do you try to give in or try to resist your craving? What is your immediate thought?

This is one of the most difficult things I have tried several times to resist my late-night cravings because it does not help me but instead makes me gain more weight. I am trying hard to maintain my weight but it is difficult to withstand it.

My immediate thought is to satisfy my cravings first especially if I'm hungry. But at times I try to resist the cravings if I see that my weight needs to be seriously monitored.

Do you prefer making homemade healthy food or trying an instant snack?

Most often I love preparing my homemade foods because I'm sure of what I'm eating. However, at times I try an instant snack or buy street fast food when I do not have time to prepare it.

Some snacks are better off to be eaten at late hours than prepared late-night foods. Some foods are best eaten early hours to give time to properly digest than eating late cravings that will not digest and cause me serious constipation.

The most popular late-night food craving I have is to prepare pancakes and added some chocolate on it to give it a mouth-watering taste that makes me crave eating it all the time.

I start the process by putting cold water in a bowl, add milk, sugar, eggs and flour. I use a whisk to stir until I have a smooth paste.

Then I preheat my frying pan and scoop two spoons in a time to fry. Until I finished the frying and then pour a bit of chocolate on it to give it a unique taste.

Presently, I try to avoid late-night cravings because I'm trying to control my weight. However, these are the only recent cravings I have prepared.

Do you think having a late-night craving is healthy? How often do you get midnight cravings?

Late-night cravings are not healthy because most often we eat sugary things, contain a lot of fibre that will take a longer time to digest.

Also, we ate then at odd times which is not healthy. There is no enough time for you to work out and burn down some fat before sleeping.

I only get midnight cravings once in a while especially when I do not eat well during the day.

I did have midnight cravings back then but I usually get them off with coffee and go straight to sleep. Maintening weight and avoiding sugars are rhe best way to get rid of them

It takes a lot to resist nighttime cravings.

But I don't know if anyone can resist the one that comes with aunt Flo.

The only thing that can stop one at that point would be lack of enough cash to spend. Because if you've got some extra bucks, what's shawarma that you can't buy, sit majestically on your floor and eat until the worms begin to thank you?

Thank you for taking part in the contest! You have created an interesting entry based on your personal experiences. All the food you made looks delicious and definitely hard to resist. However, as you mentioned, having night cravings isn't healthy, as we tend to consume more sweet or oily foods that can affect our health.
