The Diary Game: Juggling All-Laundry, Business And Family(11-10-2025)

Hello @steemit family, @imaken is reporting with her diary yet again. Today has been quite eventful, I juggled between different activities despite waking up late. Since it's Saturday, I woke up late to prepare for the work. I started with washing, you know what being a mom of three kids who are all schooling is like when it comes to washing? I had lots of clothes piled up to wash from school uniforms to their home wears and daddy's clothes were not left out too including mine, two hours went down in washing and as there was no more space to spread the clothes on the rope, I used our car as substitute.

I prepared a meal for breakfast when I finished washing, bath my kids and got prepared to go to the shop. My husband had told me to get the kids ready so he'd take them out for lunch when he comes around the shop so I prepared them at once before leaving to the shop with them, we used the public transport and when I got to the junction that leads to my shop we alighted and picked a keke(a drop) to my shop. It was afternoon already and the sun was scorching and I couldn't take the pains of trekking down to the shop so I picked a keke instead, despite the shop not being far away from where I alighted.

I got very busy in the shop attending to customers, they were lots of them who came for make over, hairdo and shopping. I doubt if I sat down up to three times today before I closed for the day, my kids on the other hand were giving me headache as they didn't sit still but kept kept playing around with my apprentice kid nearly dirtying their outfit for the outing. I phoned daddy to know when he will come and take them out so I could concentrate on business and not divide my attention, unknowing to me that he was close by already. I was hungry and dished out my lunch from the food pack and gave the rest to my apprentice and her kid as she didn't come with her meal today. I returned back to work as there was no time to waste, customers were waiting to get their hair done.

I close early and returned home to prepare dinner and also get our church outfits for tomorrow set, I was surprised to know my husband and kids were not home yet and I called to know what's up with them, I heard one of them saying they are not coming back today and I laughed because I have heard it before but it wasn't up to an hour they returned so this time won't be anything different. I went ahead to make dinner and arranged the clothes I had washed in the morning into the drawer before taking my bath and rest.

I slept off but when up to the loud knock on the door, I received my family back home and made them refresh. My kids have had enough meal outside and didn't want dinner but daddy insisted on having something, he said his wife meal is different. So to sum it all my morning activities was more of laundry and breakfast preparation, afternoon was more of productivity at my business place and I also highligted having my lunch and my kids outing with dad. Evening was my return home to make dinner, sort outfits for service tomorrow and welcoming my family back home
