Edith is the fourth daughter in a family of six, the father is a military member who travels to different states.. Edith mother, on the other hand, is a businesswoman who shows less attention to her daughters well-being.
It was time for Edith to enter primary school; when the mother took her there, she showed sighs of being among the smart pupils. She started learning very fast and finished her primary school with good results.
Edith began to worry about not having any friends; she went to her aunt's house and complained that nobody in her school wanted to be her friend; the aunt encouraged her to read her books and forget about too many friends.
The encouragement did not sit well Edith, hence she was still grieving knowing how others in her class relate with each other and even call themselves besties.
Edith started secondary and hoped that she will make new friends there; as time went by, things became worse. . She chose one of her classmates as her best friend, and she was happy that she had finally gotten someone to call a friend.
One day , their teacher came in and requested for names of noise makers and the perfect handed the written paper to him and the called the names of noise makers when the teacher made mention of Edith in bracket Ugly girl the class busted into laughter; the teacher asked who is the Edith and all the class pointed at her.
The flogged Edith, and she wished heaven could open, and she fell in; hence the shame was much on her as everybody now knows her as an unattractive girl.
The next day, the bell for lunch was rang, and people with food started arranging round tables to eat together as a group; when Edith carried her food to join one group, she was seriously warned not to come close to the table; she joined another table, and she was rejected as well.
Edith held on to herself and ate alone.. When the class continued, their English teacher came in and asked everyone to choose their favorite friend in the class for demonstration, everybody was running to choose their friend but no one chose Edith. . She walked towards the person she thought was her friend, and the girl told her that she already had her favorite friend.
It was done on Edith that she has no friend in the school because they all call her and know her as an unattractive girl.
Edith grew up to be a very lonely girl; today the story has changed. Edith is a celebrity who used cosmetics to correct all the imperfections in her body; she is now a very clean and beautiful damsel.
Moral lesson in this story
We can re-write our story by ourselves when we are determined to, and those who rejected us will come begging to be with us.
Parents should learn to teach their children how to be confident of themselves despite any challenges.e.
