My Creativewriting: My peanut Making Adventure
Hello beautiful ladies, trust you're good? It's a beautiful and I'm so excited to share my blog with you today. I've had so many beautiful memories with you here and have longed to rekindle it and in that bid, I'm here to share my peanut making Adventure as a newbie with you so let's begin. BTW, I'm Idara-abasi Sunday and identifies here on Steemit with the username @purpleidy23, I know some of y'all might be meeting me for the first time that's the reason for the introduction.
It's one thing to plan and another to bring that plan to reality, that was the tough decision I had made during the week. I've planned for the longest to make peanut by myself as least to practice what I've learnt so when I woke up yesterday, I picked up my book and pen and listed out my recipes and here's the list; flour 500g, sugar half cup, 3 eggs, vanilla flavour 1 teaspoon, groundnut 3cups, salt half teaspoon, groundnut oil. I stepped out shortly to buy those ingredients but decided to trek to where I'll buy the ingredients, something happened and I won't fail to tell you all about it.
I met an old friend while trekking to the baker's shop and I begged him to escort me to the baker's shop, it was gonna be a long walk so I needed someone to gist with while going there, though he hesitated at first but later agreed and we continued the journey. We got to the baker's shop, bought the ingredients except one which was fried groundnut and we went further to search for it. I didn't want the stress of using a fresh groundnut so while still searching for friend groundnut, I bumped into my friend. He said he saw me from afar and alighted from the bus to say hello to me but then he got upset when I told him I was with someone and left and refused speaking with me through out the day.
I finally bought the groundnut and went back home, I measured out my dry ingredients except sugar and mixed them together. I whisked the eggs, added sugar, vanilla flavour and whisked. I brought out a large tray and coat the nuts clockwise. It was a long, hard process. I almost gave up but when I remembered the trouble I'm into because of the peanuts, those I blotted my mouth to that I'll make peanuts and my girlfriend who was waiting for me to bring the peanuts for tasting and review, I got back to work. It took me about four hours to get done with just the coating process and I proceeded to frying the peanuts.
I noticed the oil was foaming during the frying process but didn't see it when I was being taught at my baking school, I thought of calling my boss to find out what I didn't do well but then decided to calm down and finish the whole process first before going for correction. I fried my peanuts till they were golden brown and brown them out and tasted some immediately but it was soft, I almost cried because that's not what I expected. I wanted a crispy and crunchy peanut, I allowed it to cool, packaged the peanut and set out to my girlfriend's shop for tasting and marketing. When I got there, the peanut was now how I wanted it, crispy and crunchy. My friend liked everything about it and even gave her neighbor too and the lady gave a heartwarming review and I was glad, my effort wasn't in futility.
