RE: SLC22-W5/ GENDER VIOLENCE
I am not against your culture but what I want to say is that bad aspects of culture that dehumanized another fellow human being should not be promoted.
What happened to your kids when death takes you away, your wife will have to suffer to raise the kids because she was deprived of working. @aviral123 might want to share her experience on this.
Don't you think your wife working and earning is a surplus to your family income?
Yes, bad aspects of culture should not be promoted. I agree. Maybe you mean patriarchy? It doesn't need to be promoted because almost all countries in the world have a black record of discriminatory culture against women, and most of it is done by those closest to them. Those who know the true meaning of culture will appreciate it as the identity of a region.
For point 2, you have actually answered yourself in your previous comment.
Is there a country that prohibits women whose husbands leave them from being allowed to remarry? Or if women no longer want to remarry, where is the state's responsibility other than just being smart in making gender regulations and containing thousands of words about saving women's rights, giving equal status and even providing welfare to women?
You know? The government of a country is only able to make gender regulations to be followed up by third parties, while the government itself is hands-off, neglecting old widows, orphaned girls dropping out of school and likes to punish women's mistakes because of trivial matters. Don't force me to give examples, because I'll hate it even more...
For some reason, I feel happy talking about this with you, you have opened my insight and way of thinking to a positive direction, I really appreciate your good intentions..., don't get carried away because each of us lives a different role and culture, as well as the legal system country, customs and religion...
