Why would the grid go down or water wouldn't be running?...does he not have faith in Americans who'll rise to the occasion to keep basics running if such a scenario played out?
I think he is referring to the Americans who live in big cities who already murder each other during the good times. I don't think we will become the next Venezuela overnight but who knows.
I sent a email to an accountant friend who knows quite a bit about the stock market. She said in the recession in 2008 the market fell twenty five percent but people were still able to get food and nobody felt compelled to shoot each other over it. She said the feds have put a lot of money into the FX market the last few days and it is scary what's going on but she doubts the market falling will make food scarce, food scarcity she said is usually always weather driven.
I think 08 was very minor compared to what will eventually come.
Probably so as other countries have yet to overcome the last crisis.
