What do you think about the Betar USA activist group claiming credit for releasing the name of Mahmoud Khalil to the Trump administration?

For context, this is a questioned I answered on Quora

Betar are the modernized version of Stasi informants with facial recognition and social media at their fingers to snitch on all potential thought criminals. Even the spooks at the ADL consider them too extreme for the Zionist cause. While they are currently relegated to sicking the DHS thought police on student visa and green card holders with less legal status, mark my word they will start doxxing, fishing, and gangstalking American citizens when congress and the Trump admin decides protests and criticism of Israel can be legally punished. They already have two bills in the works:

House Bill Conflates Criticism of Israel with Discrimination

Thankfully, the COLUMBIA Act would not be enforceable with the Dept of Education being scrapped.

No Fly List for Student Dissidents

Under the color of law, Bushian neo-fascist senators Marshall (R- KS) and Blackburn (R-TN) have introduced and referred to the Senate judiciary committee a bill to add pro-palestianian protestors to the no fly list for engaging in constitutionally protected 1A speech. “Sympathizing with Hamas”, a canard used to smear all pro-palestianian protestors regardless of whether they’ve intimated support for Hamas, is not a lawful basis for legally punishing U.S. citizens. Material support for terrorism is already illegal but it does not include alleged verbal support. Thus, “pledging” or “espousing” support for any designated terrorist organizations enumerated in this bill is not material support for terrorism. Being reprimanded, suspended or expelled from school for engaging in a protest shouldn’t lead to inclusion on a secretive black list that requires zero due process to end up on and is nearly impossible to appeal and neither should professors who are put on leave or fired for comments they make at protests.
