that is a deep question. I think may be I should sleep on that for a while and get back to you. but at a guess, If the umbilical chord is still attached then that does everything for the baby and it does not need to breath or eat but something I remember from the last kid we had Don't babies drink their own wee. so it might not be safe, idk.
