I remember when I had a pair of old black pants that had seen better days yet I still rocked them. I kept on its use and made excuses why I shouldn't let it go. What I didn't realize was that the more I rocked the pants, the less I thought of changing them and getting a new one. Till one morning I just took the pants off the hanger and put it in the trash. I literally felt like breaking up a relationship when I did that, but that same week I bought another black pants.

Well my story may not make so much impact on you put it did on me. I learned a hard truth that until you throw it away don't expect an upgrade. Life happens that most times we hold on things that we should have let go and yet we wonder why better things aren't coming our way. You can never get hold of the new without first letting go of the old. Now take a minute and X-ray your life, what things do you need to let go and throw it away?

The challenge when you don't throw it away is that as long as you still have it, you will still look for ways to use it. Most people are still in abusive relationships and business partnerships that they should throw away. I cannot overemphasize this but your next level will be determined by what you are willing to leave behind on this level. Don't let life teach you the lesson that holding on hurts more than letting go.
