RE: How I Got Rid of My Excuses and Started Living
Great post. A punch in the guts.
I agree with your vision and diagnosis. If we remain too long surrounded by dead fish, we end up smelling like dead fish.
The only problem when we become our own dead fish and people react accordingly is that a vicious cycle can be triggered and people may find it difficult to start looking less toxic because those who might help them get out of the whole are busy staying away from toxicity and surrounding themselves with better vibes.
It's a very complex dynamic. It is a fact that, like with religion and faith, the decision is ultimately personal, very private and self assumed.
Unfortunately, as it happens with any physical activity, not all the people have the same strength to win the race, to champion the living cause.
Yes, so true. Those types of people often burn many bridges. Then they sit alone with their problems with no one left to help them. But it comes back to not being able to help anyone who is not willing to help themselves. Until they make changes, how can we help them? Yes, absolutely, not everyone has the desire and fortitude to make these changes. It's too bad that there is no real way to lend anyone our strength because that would solve many problems. Thank you for taking the time to read and to comment.
