How things proved my decision wrong?!!
Hey everyone
I am Sagar. Maybe you know me and if not, I take full responsibility for that. I'm an 18 year student from Assam, India.. Who often dreams a lot, achieves some and learns from some.

Well I was always enthusiast in Science and loved to follow 'Why' after a 'What'.
So as I grew up, I started building my interest in Engineering rather than in Medical science. I hardly could remember things in biology. To be honest the only definition I could remember was, What is a Virus? and I could say Viruses are ultramicroscopic obligatory parasitic pathogens. And no other than @rahul.stan , @mother98 , and @nilim know how our botany class always started with this definition.. So this definition doesn't never my knowledge in botany, right? :D
As I chose Biology in my 11th, so it was a tough time for me to remember things without having interest in it.. and express myself in English which I was using as the medium language. Before I wrote and read every thing in Assamese. So my less interest in Biology, The massive size of one of the popular Biology reference book, scary terms all contributed equally to lead me to leave Bio and choose Statistics in my 12th and it was just before 5 months of the Final Examination of Board.
Now big challenge for me was that I had to clear my concepts of Statistics from the 11th Statistics book. And also complete the massive course of 12th as well.. And to make things worse my family didn't have much love for statistics and this decision of mine to choose statistics at that stage also hurted one of my Uncle who was a professor of Botany. He helped me a lot and also provided me the reference books for Botany.
Now I was kind of happy that I finally went to Stats forgetting how much hard work I had to do and how hard it would be for me, because I had the confidence that I could do it if I work hard.
I worked hard
Harder..
Slept a bit lesser than before..
Tried not to spend more time in Social Media..
So within 45 days I was able to understand most of the important concepts of 11th with the help of our teachers and after that concentrated myself on 12th's stats
I started
No, it was tougher than I thought..
I was in kind of pressure, as I had to do to even just to prove that it was not a bad idea of mine to choose Statistics.. And that was what something that gace me the courage, confidence and determination to work harder
I moved on. And slowly and steadily things started becoming easy. I was not surprised, as I was sure it was a result of my hard work..
And in 3 months I completed the course along with the rough preparation for exams like practising previous years question papers, model question papers and all.
And there was only less than a month left for practice things.. Plus I couldn't spend more time in other subjects, so I also had to work on them.
However, I did it my way.. And was hoping for the best in the exams
Is it happened to you that you missed the train in the last minute or is only what Bollywood movies promise? :D
Then came the EXAM day. Before we were allowed to use calculator in statistics, and it's really important because you are to calculate maths and those which is really time consuming to calculate.. We thought it was allowed to use but we were taken our calculators and not allowed to use them.. And the numericals be like

I was no genius to calculate these in a very little time correctly. There were around 5 numericals like this
Worst was that you cannot put an approximate value by a blind assumption, because you are to come to a conclusion from the value you get from that calculation and conclusions are different for the value for <1.96 , and for values between 1.96 and 2.58
So it was hell..
My statistics sucked..
So they forced me to say that "My decision to choose Statistics was wrong"
Every normal indian guy suffers almost the same things 😂... Thanks for sharing :)
After seeing Bihar board results, I'm very cool 😀
